Great ab roller and super easy to setup. I've seen others say the metal bar is "too long" so the handles do not slide all the way against the wheel. Guys, this isn't rocket science. You just need to push with force when installing the handle grips. It will get to the wheel. I've used this roller about 3-5 times a week for a month now and have not experienced the grips to slide off the metal bar. It has a smooth rolling motion with no play. The pad it comes with is not the thickest, but I look at this as a throw-in. It does the job for what it is and it has good grip so you won't slide around on a hard surface. If you want something with more padding, I would suggest getting one of those gardening knee pads at your local gardening center. Overall great purchase. Simple and effective. With so many different options out there, I had to share why this is the best and give them a boost. Sturdy, well made, and easy to assemble out of the box. The wheel is heavy rubber and grips the floor well, the curve on the wheel allows you to hit all kinds of angles rolling back and forth to hit different muscles. The bar is extremely strong, heavy metal. The handles are comfy and soft which matters a lot after just a few reps. It also works more than just abs. This is the perfect ab roller. As usual on Amazon, I was scouring all the options for this daily-use item, painstakingly narrowing them down, cursing the fact that I was spending so much time investigating the minute differences and reviews of some daily item which, in previous decades, I would have just bought at Target and got what I got (it was a simpler time). And in that process, I almost got something far more expensive than this ab roller. But then I chose this, and it is perfection. It's well made, sturdy materials, weighty in the hand so you know it's not flimsy; but certainly not too heavy or anything. Rolls smoothly. Love that it has one wider wheel, as opposed to two wheels - there is no substitute for balancing all your body weight on one wheel. Overall perfect size. Comfortable, wide handles. Grippy tread on the wheel. Even the knee pad - when I saw it I thought it looked thin and small, but when I used it, it was just big enough for my knees (I'm 5'11" and 200lbs) and SO COMFORTABLE and stabilizing. So, overall this item far surpassed my expectations, which is so nice in a day when so many things are cheaply made junk. This product is great, easy to assembly, and rolls well. The only thing I would recommend the company looks at to improve, would be using denser foam for the hand grips, they are a little soft, so I'm not sure what the durability will be. The knee pad is good, but the foam could be denser. The weight and width of the wheel surface makes it very stable. I have stale flooring and it handles the rough surface very well. This is a very sturdy tool for abs exercise. I’ve used it to train my abs at home when I am not able to access gyms. This a great tool and well-made. I’ve used it thousands of times without seeing any cracks like other products I used before.

I haven't tried other ab wheels, but this one is sturdy and feels like quality construction. It is a tough workout. Be very careful with these things. They offer a phenomenal workout for your abs, but also your lower back and to a lesser extent your lats. Be honest with yourself about how far you can extend without collapsing your lower back. If you don't hold proper tension you can hurt yourself. Not for people who haven't already been doing some core work. This device is step 2 or step 3 in your core strength training. ... show more

Before I get into the product I must talk about the packaging, the satin feel box was very nice & high quality. While its not a box I'd use again it's such great quality I felt guilty throwing it away. Now the Ab Wheel was simple to put together, I love the small knee pad that it comes with to use while doing ab workouts. The wheel is super high quality (you can just feel it with the material its made from) as well as the cushioning of the handles is great. I bought this ab roller because it had good ratings and was at a good price. It was easy to put together and seems sturdy. But the foam knee mat that came with it has a very strong, unpleasant chemical stink. I've been letting it air out on the porch. Hopefully it gets better. A little worried about whatever chemicals are in it to make it smell that way, though. ... show more
