    • Perfect for the OCD long hair consumer obsessed with split ends
So, first let me say… I’m by no means a hair professional. Just someone that has long, thick and processed hair that… for some reason since I turned 38 has become obsessed with my split ends. No one else could tell… but I notice and will sit there for hours sometimes with hair scissors trying to go after them. Yea… I’m odd … but whatever. Lol. My practice of hours on end trimming has done very little (obviously). So, I stumbled on this product while looking for other split end cream to try. Got it today…. And I love it! I’m not posting the pictures I took for before and after, because honestly… it doesn’t really capture any noticeable difference. But: 1. It feels 100% softer 2. My hair isn’t tangling on it self constantly (which you long hair gals know that busting through those snags causes more breakage than anything). 3. It really only goes after the tips. So those split ends that are split >1/2 inch up the shaft are really not effective. HOWEVER…. I would imagine that consistency using this every few weeks would prevent future split from even getting to that point. Pairing it with a good shaft sealer or toner would like have really good outcomes. 4. Very easy to use. Only trick is not letting your finger slip to the other direction while using. Just shuts it off. But a bit awkward placement of the buttons. Your hand does get a bit tired. But the whole process for very long (goes just past chest) and thick hair takes about 30 min. Not bad at all. That is doing the 3 swipes method… though honestly only did the bottom portion of hair second and third time. 5. Don’t be concerned about it choppping off your hair or anything. It doesn’t. After all was said and done, there was only about a tablespoon or 2 of hair in the trappings. Maybe 1/2 cm in length each. 6. Recommend flat ironing hat first and using a soft bristle brush on each strand right before using. (Watched a few videos prior to using and worked well). IN SUMMARY- Don’t expect drastic visible results. But, you can feel how much healthier your hair is in between going to get a hair cut. I believe using this every 2-3 weeks with a good hair repair crème or toner that seals cuticles will result in progressively healthier hair. My only concern is that dull blades cause breakage. So after using for several months may need to find a way to replace blade. Very expensive product. But if you are into spending whatever it takes for healthy long hair… I think it’s well worth it. I am trying to grow my hair out passed my rear end and this is going to help me achieve it!! I’m so excited that it actually works without losing length!! Easy to use and doesn’t take very long. Very good quality I would recommend to buy.

Please save your money. I’ve purchased two Split-Enders in the last 20 years or so, and found them a great invention. It really did a great job of clipping all my split ends. It’s been about 7 years that I stopped relaxing my hair and thought it would be great to save salon appointments basically to clip ends as it grows out. I purchased this item last week and eager to become reacquainted. First thing I noticed was the warning that if you opened and used it you couldn’t return it due to health or sanitary concerns, so I took pictures of everything and carefully open it. I opened it and looked it over and saw that it was larger and heavier version of the light blue ones I had. Secondly and most important, I was shocked to see that the “blades” were made of HARD RUBBER! I ran my fingers over the blades just to make sure, and I can confirm that there’s no way those blades could cut hair. The original versions were made with metal blades that would slice off the ends, but these couldn’t cut anything. I ran a magnetic wand over the device, and only the handle and two spots on the body were metal—definitely not the blades. I can’t understand how they can be allowed to sell this fraudulent products-and at such a high price. I’m very disappointed, but I’ve packed it up carefully, and am returning it. 🥺 ... show more

I was on the fence for months about this purchase. I wish I would have purchased sooner! The first 3 photos are before. The next 3 photos are half way. The last 3 photos are the end. I used this product on clean hair and blow dried( I didn’t use any products after the shower, no blow dry cream or leave in conditioner). The directions are easy to follow. If you use the correct amount hair and brush it prior to using the splint end pro there is not hair pull. The first couple passes I used to big of pieces and it did pull- but once I used the correct amount of hair I had no issues. It does take a little bit of time, the product was not heavy( its lighter then my blow dryer). I did not notice larger/longer patches of hair in the catch area. I did see some negative review about people losing larger/ longer chunks of hair, I am not a hair dresser, I feel these people had those results because of their hair condition. If your hair has not been trimmed/ cut I think larger/longer pieces will come out because they hair is that unhealthy. It was the negative reviews with the price tag that postponed me from getting this product. I think after using the product the negative review are from people not following the directions, using to much hair not using it on complete clean blow dried hair. The price tag seems high but after using this product I understand. It’s an investment it’s not a one time use product. 10/10 I would recommend this product.side note I have super thin oily hair. After using this product last night I woke up my hair felt like I just went to the hair dresser! It feels so silky smooth and healthy! ... show more

The product came in a wrapper that said once you open this product you can’t return it. Once I opened it the rubber on the handle looked old and worn out.

I read all the negative reviews after I had purchased and began to really worry. However, I think this product does what it is intended. It’s not a replacement for a real professional cut and style done at a salon, but an excellent way to maintain on your own. My hair is fairly damaged from constant coloring, and I was pleased after my first use. I will say you need to follow the instructions 100%. Small sections, combed out hair with no product, straightened hair, and three passes per section. I went in ready to fight Amazon for a return if it didn’t work, but for one, Amazon does accept returns. I started a return just to make sure, then cancelled, and for two it did work as well as I was imagining. ... show more
