I’m not sure if the ratio of spices to salt are off in these mixes, but I’ve found I’ve had to be careful to not use too much or it’s too salty for my liking. Smoked Chipotle - I’m not really sure what I think about this one. It’s not bad, but the salt sort of overwhelms it. Smashed Avocado - Doesn’t really taste like avocado or guacamole. And while I’m not Mexican, I know I’ve never witnessed this combination of spices being used in guac either. Aside from that, it’s a nice addition to rice. This spice set makes the seasoning portion of your cooking easy by having premixed ingredients that work well with whatever patty you decide to make. With six different flavors, there’s a seasoning for everyone. Each packet shows the ingredients on the back and provides serving size information. However, it’s difficult to discern how much to use on a patty if you like to measure your seasonings when you cook. So, it can take a couple of tries before you figure out how much you want to use to get the taste you desire. While this is a great idea for gifting and trying different flavors, this spice set doesn’t have a lot of rebuy value. All of these seasoning packets have ingredients that are commonly found in supermarkets. You can easily find the dried seasonings and mix them yourself to create the flavors you desire. Currently, this is priced at $15. Compared to similar products on Amazon, this spice set is cheaper than most other options. However, the spices only provide enough for a few uses and are not resealable. Additionally, unlike alternatives, this set mostly offers similar flavor profiles, making it great for people who like commonly used seasonings but not as appealing for those who enjoy trying something outside the norm. So, based on price, I recommend this product if you just want to try different flavors. Overall, this is a fine spice set to use for yourself or a friend. However, I don’t think you’ll find the taste mind-blowing as it’s just a mixture of typical spices used in burger patties. ... show more

There was little flavor to 2 of these other than extreme salt, the salsa one had some flavor but was way too salty. If you are a salt junky and want a bit of flavor with your salt you might like this. If there was any smoky flavor the salt squashed it.

These seasonings are pretty tasty and fragrant. I used some to season ground beef for tacos and it turned out great. I wish that they had less salt since I prefer to control my own salt levels separately.
