The washer is fine. It was the seller A1Quil, that was the problem. Firstly, the delivered washer was dented top and front. secondly, it was a nightmare to get the seller to pick up the damaged washer (took a month). Thirdly, the seller slow walked the refund. They were difficult to deal with, tried to charge a restocking fee of $300. When finally they were forced to also refund their $300 restocking fee they tried to keep $50 back for some crazy tax. I was so excited to receive this machine, but it doesn't work! Lights flash, and things beep, but no washing happens. i have contacted the seller, and get a reply that they have received my request. What I actually asked for was to return it, but instead was given a link to the manufacturer, who is not responding. I have no idea if they plan to ignore me longer or send someone to fix it or allow me to return it and send a replacement. I will not be buying from third party sellers again! ... show more

Can't go wrong with Speed Queen! This is a superb, hardy manufactured machine. Clothes come out super clean! This is a must since the family does construction and farming. Runs very quiet and easy to use. Everything from delicate to super wash. Stainless steel tub. This is a beast! Great value for the price! Will last for years! It washes great however the lid lock is extremely finicky. As I am typing this review my clothes are locked inside the washer. Perhaps I got a lemon? I have followed all the troubleshooting steps and it won’t unlock. If the kids try to open the lid or if accidentally tapped the washer during the wash cycle it will stop washing and the lid lock stays on. It costs way too much money to be dealing with this issue. This thing blows everything Lowes sells out of the water when it come to getting clothes clean and washed fast. I’ve been through so many washers from Lowe’s that it was ridiculous. Speed Queen might be a little higher but worth it. They don’t make huge drums where you can destroy your washing machine , just one size tub. Stay away from all of the horns and whistles of new machines, that’s more things that will go out. I ordered mine with knobs instead of buttons. I will never buy anything but Speed Queen Washers from here on out. ... show more

We had high expectations and were proportionately disappointed to receive a washer that was not functional. I was equally underwhelmed by Speed Queen's "response" which was a suggestion that I call a repairman. They immediately placed an order for a replacement washer which Speed Queen had refused to do. I received this machine earlier this month, actually a few days early which was great. The machine is wonderful and gets the clothes very clean. It is very easy to operate. I understand these are very good machines and I probably won't have to buy another for 20 years.

Great machine but the digital interface is unreliable. Mine would fill up, lock the machine, and then not respond. Now it's messed up completely at just under a year old. Praying for a one year warranty as I contact this dealer... but they aren't answering
