  • Works Great, Sounds Good!
Installed on my 2014 GMC Sierra. Overall a great product, except for one thing. One MAJOR ISSUE if you are installing this is to make sure you inspect inside all your parts. I found manufacturing debris inside my pipe and filter. If you don't clean it out, it will get sucked straight into your engine. Install was very simple and straight forward. Everything lined up perfectly! I preassembled the shround and filter, and installed that side first. Then came the pipe and the end that goes into the throttlebody. I used a little silicone spray on both ends of the pipe to lube it up, so I could slip it into the boots and twist the pipe into a good position. But you don't really need the lube, I just did it to make it easier. I am not sure if you can install the MAF sensor backwards but that is something to be aware of too. The little red lock on your connector should be facing the grille to match the way it sits on your OEM airbox. ... show more

  • 2018 Silverado Beast!!!
I heavily relied on the reviews of others on this purchase. I was on the fence, but decided to pull the trigger and take the risk since it’s only $154.. It paid off. I am completely satisfied with this product. It wasn’t missing any pieces, the kit was in great condition, and it looks/sounds AMAZING!! this has completely changed the sound of my engine for the better. My baby growls at me. Plus, i have noticed an increase in acceleration! Can’t say it’s saving me any gas because I love the sound so much. The install was a little difficult. I had to throw the instructions out, because the order they are in kept it from fitting just right. Had to tweak the fire box and bend it slightly with my hands... but that’s to be expected with aftermarket installs. Overall, once i figured out that the instructions were trash.. it went much smoother. Oh yea, it’s been over a week and my air filter has NOT popped off... I repeat.. Has NOT POPPED OFF... I did preemptively sand the bottom lip though... read the reviews.. get some ideas.. and you’ll be satisfied. There’s also a great YouTube video. I want one for my wife’s truck... but she says it’s annoying.. mission accomplished. ... show more

  • The filter will fall off.
They should send customers a small piece of sand paper and instruct to rough up where the filter meets the shroud. It’s the only way the filter will stay put. Once I did this it’s great. I’m getting better mph and more power! Sounds awesome! I’m keeping an eye on the filter to see that it doesn’t fall off again. So far so good ... show more

  • Worth the money!
Just installed it this morning and drove it after. The instructions were kinda nah, but i watched a tutorial video from youtube. Anyways, I felt the change, my truck seemed to be aggressive like it can breathe better like someone who has quick smoking and now have been running for few years lol One thing i see or read from customers is their filter falling off, i made sure mine was overly tightly secured and followed with a self screw you use for vents (shown on the pics i posted). You can use any screws as well. Good luck. I just need to clean everything else around. ... show more

  • Awesome Growl tube!
Installed easy enough on my 2015 gmc sierra with the 5.3. Took less than an hour. I did scuff up each end of the aluminum pipe with some sand paper about an inch and a half in as there were some reviews about pieces slipping off - no issues with anything slipping off with the scuffed up aluminum. I'll be honest, I didn't install this for the 7345 horsepower increase or getting 900 miles per gallon - I knew it would make the truck growl under load and it did not disappoint. Climbing hills - getting on the highway etc - it sounds awesome - stock exhaust is quieter than a Prius so all of the new noise is coming straight from the intake. No noticeable gain or loss in performance (purists will claim *oh no it's a hot air intake since the top is open and doesn't seal correctly!* - don't listen to them, an intake sealed or not isn't going to make any real difference in performance without a tune anyways.) ... show more

  • I will be returning. Truck did not run properly.
Well it was easy to install, but I uninstalled it after a few days. My first issue was the air filter fell off multiple times. The first 2 times I thought I might have misaligned the clamp or not tightened it enough. The third time it fell off I decided to use some brake cleaner to remove all the excess oil that was on the inside of the filter thinking that it might help. After reinstalling the filter for the 4th time in 2 days after a total of maybe 20 miles of driving, I decided to just super glue the air filter to the mounting surface. That fixed that problem. Then I noticed that when driving, when the RPM's were between 1200-2000 the engine had a much louder tone than usual, but not in a good way. I could tell that the engine wasn't running correctly and the truck had no power. I'm not sure if the tube size is different than factory, throwing off the air/fuel calculation or what. I talked to a mechanic friend of mine and he said the only way he knew how to fix it is with an aftermarket tune. With the truck still under warranty that is not an option. I pulled this kit off and reinstalled the original air box. So I will be returning and ordering a performance drop in replacement. I might try the K&N intake in the future. I would not recommend this for a factory truck still under warranty. ... show more

  • Good for the money. YouTube how to install for easier install.
This product is very good. I was debating on the K&N or this one and honestly the K&N your just paying for the name. This is a very durable product I had no problems at all with it. But I will tell you the directions aren’t good in my opinion, go to YouTube and look up the American Trucks video install of this exact product it’s step by step very easy to follow along. ... show more
