After reading some reviews I was on the fence about trying out the Specta Air drone but the price is tough to beat, so I proceeded in purchasing the drone. The Drone did not disappoint one bit. It is very easy to control, the picture quality is great and the features are plenty. It's a very stabile Drone and has very good connection/range. I ran into an issue with the coupon when purchasing the drone. An extra 100.00 dollars was being taken off in addition to the discounted price and even though I selected it the discount was not applied. I reach out to Specta's customer service via email and not only did they respond quickly they also provided resolutions to my issue. Based on other reviews I didn't expect much but I was pleasantly surprised just how friendly and willing to help they were. Moving forward I would say the older negative reviews might be simply due to a newer company getting established and now that they are they are, they are definitely worth purchasing from. ... show more

    • PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW
This is an Air 3 running the .100 firmware effectively from the factory. That means you will get none of the fancy features that get added. Don’t listen to the internet telling you there will be updates, if there are they will be wayyyy behind. There is no care refresh but their email support and availability of parts etc is top notch. I can’t believe at this price there aren’t more people buying this drone. I was on the fence after getting my mini 4 pro but this goes on sale for less than nine hundred constantly. This drone is amazing. If you just want to fly with the new O4 system and don’t care about the newest firmware etc then get this drone. Their issues with batteries and parts has been fixed. I bought this when it launched and it’s around six months later at time of review. So I have had it for six months and I would buy it again in a heartbeat. If you don’t already have a mini 4 pro (controller is compatible with air 3 so price for “aircraft only” is cheaper) GET THIS DRONE!!! If you live in an area that requires unlocking beyond the self unlocking, don’t purchase. They don’t have a fly safe system built in it’s completely missing. That’s the ONLY hang up I have but I live right next to an airport in the blue bubble and I have no issue with self unlocking. ... show more

    • Phenomenal drone for the price!
With the DJI ban potentially looming over the horizon having a non Chinese made drone is not a bad idea. Thankfully it seems Specta has been licensed to produce these as they are identical to the DJI Air 3. All that aside the quality is amazing and the shots it takes are incredible! It's also fairly easy to fly if you don't have much experience. The battery performance is awesome as well I'm getting easily 35+ minutes per flight. Overall 10/10 drone I'd highly recommend it. Now I just need Specta to offer multi battery chargers! ... show more

It’s a great drone but it really needs the option to buy more batteries and some kind of battery charger. Comes with no real instructions so if you’ve never flown one. Customer service doesn’t answer emails very well

The Drone itself is great handles fine but if you want spare batteries you can forget it I have ordered spare batteries several times and have gotten totally different batteries not even close to the batteries that goes to this. I bought this in early July and here it is ending of September and I have not received the right batteries, again for a 3rd time now I have received Specta Mini batteries. You're better off just paying a little more for the DJI AIR 3 fly more combo you get 3 batteries and you can order more they are cheaper too ... show more

This drone has been compared to the DJI brand numerous times across the web so I won’t go into that. It’s a well built, very stable, and easy to operate drone with a great screen and easy to use UI. Company says batteries will be on Amazon in July of 2024 but they are willing to sell them now directly from manufacturer if needed. ... show more

    • Awesome but one little catch
Just an awesome drone and controller. Much better than one that links to my phone. Great range, great battery life but replacement batteries are hard to find in stock or at a decent price. The cameras are really clear and crisp. The obstacle avoidance package is really nice and is that added layer of protection that helps prevent from a bad collision. Highly worth the price if you don’t want or need to use the accessories that work only on the DJI Air 3 which I thought this was a duplicate of so I bought the goggles and learned they are not compatible. ... show more

    • Held back by lack of batteries, and no way to remove geofence
Basically a DJI Air 3, but no way to unlock geofence so if you're in a no fly zone you can't even send in a request to remove the restriction if you have legal authority/permission to fly there. It won't even let you take off from your house to fly around in your backyard low if you're in a no go zone. If you want batteries, you have to wire money to china. They're about $150 bucks each. I *think* the DJI battery charger work to charge them though. But, once you get the batteries, and the charger you're over the cost of the Air3, even when they had the $200 off deal bringing the total of the base unit to $999. Just not worth it IMO. Customer service is very responsive but seemingly unable to actually do anything. ... show more
