no problem to install, backup light bulb wires where to short fit in socket, where my backup lights was on the bottom now there on top.i just took off wrapping cover over wires that run to sockets and pulled tight,so i didn.t have to cut any wires,just that wires where shorter for backup light socket placement. but happy so far with tail lights Robert ... show more

Tail lights themselves look great. I will caution I have a 2005 GMC Sierra that this says it fits. They do fit but I had to cut the reverse light wires and extend them as they are on the top on these lights. Also I had to modify the back of the housing to get the light bulb fixtures to lock in simple fix but they don't just work like they should. Also I had to add washers to the tabs to get the tail lights to stay tight in the mounting area without washers the sides of the lights were loose there is about a 3/8 to 1/2 gap between the mounting tab and the box with out washers. I was also a bit disappointed that there were no new mounting screws as the stock screw were to short to use so I had to get longer screws. ... show more

they arrived much darker then advertised, did not fit near the quality of the original piece and they broke from the shock of the tailgate closing , they did not break from any contact but broke from the energy/shock of a closing tail gate .. pretty bummed i was ok with the fact that they were way darker then advertised because it was a black truck but now they are worthless and make the truck look worse then the OEM pieces . i highly doubt the vendor will replace them :( this is not my first time buying aftermarket parts i have been modifying my vehicles for 15 years now. Realistically I was expecting form experience to get two years max out of them before they started fogging or plastic started to go bad from the bright sunlight of south Florida Sadly i only got 2 months (half of which i was out of town and the truck just sat unused). bought them for my father who was terminally ill and has since passed away, at the time because i thought the backup light being at the top instead of the bottom combined with a bright LED would give him more light to see behind him but the tint of the lens prevented the idea from working now all i am left with is a broken tail light on my dead fathers truck i have since inherited :( ... show more
