Honestly they change the whole look of my car and installation was fairly simple. I would say for the inner lights on the trunk to use the original hardware from the old lights, the newer bolts got stuck and didnt wanna come back off so and it was easier to use the oem hardware to attach the lights but other than that it was a breeze, probably a 30 minute install if you dont have any hiccups like it did. ... show more

I had the taillights for about a year they have lasted me a good while and personally love the smoke design in person and start up animation. I really enjoy these taillights especially smoked ones After a year one of the taillights got humidity and in turn it stopped working properly but due to this product being an sold on Amazon the support is easy to work with for refund / replacement. I don’t mind changing the taillights it’s a DIY thing as long as Amazon has my back for the product ... show more

    • Manufacturer Warranty Is Pointless

One of the tail light has condensation forming on the inside of the lens after rain storms. Manufacturer lists this as a defect and covered under 1 year warranty but I have tried multiple method to contact the manufacturer (within the year) and they have not responded to me for over a month now via any method. Avoid buying this product. I do not recommend. Also had issues initially with the item as the turn signals would randomly blink at like twice the normal rate. They sent over new resistors to replace them. I did not replace the resistors and just coded the issue out and this issue hasn't re-occurred. The media could not be loaded. I really like the look of these tail lights! The video shows the "wake up" sequence from when you unlock the car. Installation notes: Throw away the "install guide" that comes with the lights; it's worthless. Harbor Freight shopping list: Plastic auto interior pry tools, step drill bits, zip ties (or electrical wrapping tape), plastic bushings. The installation is fairly straightforward, except you'll need a path for red and yellow wires to run from the outboard light electrical harness up the trunk hinge, to the inboard lights. There is no opening in that sheet metal behind the outboard light, so you'll have to make one. Drill a 1/8" pilot hole, then carefully use the step drill to final-size the hole to your snap bushing. I went as small as possible with the snap bushing, meaning I had to cut the wires, then butt joint them together inside the car. I also sealed the wires through the bushing with some silicone, to keep any water seepage out. The installation videos I found on YouTube showed guys just running those wires across the sheet metal edges under the rubber trunk trim. Do NOT do this! It's an obvious chafing point, and will simply cause those wires to separate in time. I love the finished look of these taillights! Also, I consider amber turn signals to be a safety issue, definitely worth it. ... show more

I tried lights from two other brands and here is what I learned: The VLAND fit the best. The packaging was satisfactory. The look is decent, though the smoke effect is simply a smoked lens. Other companies used black internals with clear lens which looks cleaner and allows more light through. They can definitely be better, but we don't have many options. Great tail lights for the price! Install was not difficult with YouTube videos available. Had to snip a plastic support insert on back of trunk lights to make it fit flush. One small cosmetic crack at top of right trunk light, but hides well when installed. No programming necessary for my F82 2016 M4. ... show more

I purchased these about 5 weeks ago September 3 2021 and one of them has water in the housing already..Contacted Amazon and they stated it's pass there 30 days return policy also Contacted Vlands and they said they can't do anything for me. I will recommend not buying these lights if there failing a month after purchased and noway to resolve the issues... Vlands actually honored there warranty and replaced the light. Im updating review because of that. Took about 2 months but they have replaced the faulty light and everything is working as it should. Very pleased and will do buisness with them again... ... show more

There are plenty of places to buy these “GTS” style taillights. DONT buy from Vland. As you can see from the pictures the reverse light is smoked on one and not on the other. I sent them the same photos, twice, and they told me they match. They also claimed that they checked with the factory and it’s correct. They could’ve just told me I have lying eyes.
