Heat output seemed fine until after I repleaced it with a smaller, quieter (and cheaper) heater that did better. I liked the temperature control and remote when I gave up with getting a less expensive heater but I'm happy with my trade down. I only returned mine because it had a defect that when turning it would make a loud annoying noise and one extreme of the arc. The relatively low rating isn't for this reason; its for what I learned after replacing the unit. In short: great options at a good price, but heat output isn't up to par. Within the price range, I choose heat over options. Maybe someday I'll pay to get both. ... show more
