These are great. I've used similar ones before, but I like fact that the surface of these is fairly non-slip, so my dough is not going to slip off when I'm moving it around. I took a photo so you can see that the longer sling is actually longer than the boule sling, but it bemuses me that the sling arms on that one are lined up with the long axis of the sling - that means that the nicely shaped dough will be folded in the middle as it's lifted onto the Dutch oven. I'll almost certainly cut the arms off the long sling and lie it crossways over the boule sling so I can lift my longer loaves into the DO without damaging them. I see the point of the square finger holes in the sling arms, but I have my hands in oven gloves when they are near cast iron at 500F or more, so I'll never use the holes.     • A nice alternative to parchment paper
I make bread all the time, baked in a Dutch oven in the oven with parchment paper as the liner. I figured I'd give these a try to see if I could ditch the parchment and have something reusable. They're great! I used the round one to bake a nice loaf of cheesy bread and it came out perfectly.     • Convenient, handy, and useful
I've been baking bread for just a couple of years, but I'm new to Dutch oven and artisan bread baking. These slings definitely make it less of a task. Having two different shapes is a plus. They're easily rolled up for storage, and take up little space. They're also useful as countertop trivets.

I got this for my GF who likes to bake. Normally she would use parchment paper to make these, but now she has a reusable option. They clean easily in the dishwasher, too. Overall we are happy.
