    • Fits Perfectly in My Instant Pot Duo & Dutch Oven
This is a must-have if you do any kind of baking. I used it to proof sourdough inside my Duo Instant Pot and was pleased that I didn't have to use as much parchment paper for proofing. I added a bit of flour the the sling base because my dough was pretty sticky and I didn't trust that it wouldn't stick. Then I fitted some strips between the dough and the chamber walls. Four hours later, I used the handles to lift the dough out. No mishaps. The sling is very sturdy. The slits in the handles make it very easy to remove from the IP and a Dutch Oven. I applied another thin coating of flour after I kneaded the dough. Then I had my husband place it in the Dutch oven without the parchment paper to see how it would perform. The dough didn't stick to the sides, and the baked sourdough lifted easily off the sling base. Almost forgot to mention that it features printed measurement guides so that range from 3 to 6 inches in diameter. Cleaning is a snap. All you have to do is run it under warm water and add a bit of soap to remove stubborn crumbs. I plan to use this for a variety of boules and cakes. This bread sling is the cat's pajamas! No more rumpling parchment paper to line the Dutch oven when I make 24-hour no-knead bread. I brushed olive oil on the sides of the Dutch oven, as my recipe calls for, and on the bread sling, too. I plopped the risen dough, formed loosely into a ball, right over the sling and after 50 minutes of 450 degree heat, I lifted the loaf out of the Dutch oven and had a family-sized round loaf of chewy, flavorful home-baked bread cooling on a rack. My Dutch oven is a 6-qt size, but the sling will work nicely in the 3-qt size often called for in bread recipes. I usually wash it by hand, but you can drape it onto the top rack of a dishwasher with no worries. I store it right inside my Dutch oven. ... show more

This is a great bread sling for baking sourdough loaves. It holds up well at the high temps required to make sourdough and doesn’t leave any sort of taste or smell behind. It makes it so much easier to pull a loaf out of the hot pan without getting burnt! If you make bread, you need this!

    • So much easier than wrestling with parchment paper
I literally just baked a loaf of sourdough and used this sling. I was concerned that the silicone would effect the browning on bottom, but it was fine. This is definitely better than having to keep buying parchment paper. And absolutely better than wrestling around with parchment to get it to fit and stay in place when you put the dough in.     • So much better than parchment paper for my sourdough loaves!
Like most sourdough bread bakers, I have been using the parchment paper as a liner with my dutch oven to bake my loaves. They're fine but many don't go over 450 degrees and they start to fall apart. Plus, they can sometimes get in the way of the loaf and keep them from baking perfectly round. This liner is rated for 480 degrees which is fine because I typically use 450 anyhow. What is really nice is that it is an environmentally friendly solution to lining your dutch oven. It cleans up easily and I'm sure I will get tons of usage before it will wear out. I'm really happy with this sling and will be buying another one as I typically bake two loaves at once. ... show more

Firstly, this fits perfectly into my dutch oven. Second, it bakes well. Third it is easy to lift the bread out with. I love this sling! I put my dough onto it, let it rest as recipe calls for, then lift the sling into the hot dutch oven, let the little sling handles poke out of the lid (the lid still fully shuts) then put it in the oven and bake! My fiancé does the sourdough thing. She has her own starters and these help her use that. She likes the nonstick factor to it when she rolls it around. But she says it needs to be bigger. It doesn’t offer much room to work with I guess.

    • Long handles, small base
I like this bread mat. The handles make it easy to remove the loaves from my Dutch oven. My only complaint is the base is a little small. I have a different brand that fits batard loaves better. This one is best for boule shapes as it runs small.
