I have been really lazy and putting off writing this review for too long. Almost very time I go to backyard and look at this sturdy piece of art I always think to myself, "I should write a review so more people would know!". I put this together exactly two years ago, it is still good as new! The color hasn't faded, there has not been any chipping or anything breaking off. Everything is working perfectly! We have had a few pretty bad hurricanes in the past, but this thing had not budged a bit. I set it up by connecting the four corners to the concrete deck blocks using 4x4s. That adds more weights to the setup but more importantly raised the height since I was hanging some string lights as you can see. This was the most expensive item I've bought on Amazon, and I felt like it was huge gamble, but it worked out really well. I don't typically write reviews, but I figured Id go ahead and write one for this because I like it so much. I threw up some pictures during construction and of the mostly finished product, because I wouldn't trust my review if I was someone else without it. After calling around locally in Chicago to get prices that were ridiculously expensive or finding other pre fabricated pergolas online that were double the price, I decided to take the gamble and purchase this. I really lied the modern look. As of now Ive had it installed for over a full year and have actually run dimmable LED strip lights along the horizontal cross members that looks super sharp. Literally the day after I finished building it we had tornado alarms going off and I was worried about the wind, but it was fine by the time I came home and has sense survived a full winter and lots of wind. Only issue I have after a year is that the chrome on the thing that spins to open the louvers has started to peel a little bit, but other then that, everything has held up. I typically leave the louvers open when not in use so the wind doesn't get under it and possibly damage anything. They even sent an extra louvre blade, not sure if that was intentional, but I stored it under my deck in case I ever need it. ... show more

We've had this for a little over 2 years now and still very happy with the product. We leave the louvers open in the winter and have had ZERO issues with snow accumulating on the top (this includes twice this past winter with two storms dropping nearly 24" of heavy wet snow) so don't believe the scare tactic of other videos against this product...leave the louvers open, it'll handle winters just fine. We aren't seeing any rust on any of the components and it's just as sturdy now as it was when we first installed it. I don't know that we've had 60+ mph wind gusts, but it has handled 40-50 fine. The only problems were with shipping where it looks like a forklift hit the side of the box putting a slight dent in one of the louvers and be careful putting in the louver end caps because the screw tops can break off (we had one). All-in-all, it's a pretty impressive product especially when you compare with alternatives. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Purchased a 10x20 late july and came in august 8 with ceva delivery. The 5 boxes were pretty large and a bit of a pain to open. I did it alone but highly suggest getting some help. I do not reccomend doin this alone, however it can be done. There are alot of pieces to put together but they have a really nice box that has all your bolts, screws, coiter pins, brackets and even a drill bit to drill in anchor holes into the concrete as well as the concrete anchors. Its been 104 degrees all summer here in southeast texas, and that made the job a lil tougher. Once you get the support frame up, its pretty easy to put together. Just very tedious. It took me about a day and half to set it up. However im slowly doing the anchors one beam at a time. Happy building people. Also, i did a water test with a hose, and it did pretty well. I dont expext it to keep out heavy sideways rain but normal rain, i think it will keep put most of it. ... show more

This pergola went together easily with two people on ladders. It took about 6 hrs when you count the time hammer drilling and anchoring to the concrete. Easy to understand instructions and even has a couple of spare parts in case you lose one. The screws stainless sheet metal screws will break if you're not careful but we only broke one so it would be best to use a drill/driver with a torque adjustment. ... show more

ive had it up for 6 months now and no problems. took a day to put up. I didn't bolt it into the concrete because it was pretty sturdy already because I am utilizing it as a lean to. and it is sturdy against winds, rain proof and looks amazing.

I purchased the 10x13 pergola. It arrived in 3 heavy boxes. All parts were accounted for and in perfect condition; there were no dents or scratches. The assembly was very straightforward and relatively easy. While there were a few tedious steps, it wasn’t difficult at all. Just take your time and follow the pictures as shown. I love the final product! It is exactly what I was looking for. I anchored the pergola to my wood deck from underneath with nuts/bolts. It’s very sturdy. It has rained a few times since I installed the pergola and the gutter system works as advertised! The only negative thing I can say about it is that because it’s taller (8’2”) than the other pergolas I looked it, it allows more sun to come in the side during late afternoons. However, I fixed this by installing some outdoor curtains on that one side. As of now, I couldn’t be more thrilled with the pergola! I just hope it holds up well over the winter and in years to come…..TBD ... show more

Got tripped up on some of the directions - especially the first louvered panel (connected to the crank). The hardware was cheap and we had a couple of screw heads pop off when we tightened them with a drill, one panel also came without a pin, so we had to find something to use in its place. Overall it took 4 hours with just 2 people assembling it. Loving it so far. ... show more
