I needed to dig out under some concrete to fit a jack for breaking up my patio. This bit worked great for loosening up the soil. The spiral is made of decent thickness metal and is solidly welded to the shaft in a few spots. I abused it thoroughly as I jammed it up against the concrete several times and it held up great.
