I was skeptical about spending so much on these, but I'm really glad I took the chance. We can't use disposable water balloons and needed an alternative. These are a little harder to burst open than traditional water balloons, and they can hurt a little if hit hard at close range, but the kids have a blast with them. With a few rules (no hitting people when they're refilling, spread out, no throwing at heads) we haven't had any problems. We also told the kids early on not to throw them at hard surfaces like trees or concrete in case they break after reading some reviews on here about that issue. We took this package and a package of a different brand to a family reunion (3+ hours of fun by all ages). We had a few rip into two parts but they still worked fine. Mostly kids trying to refill but pulling at the seam and ripping. A couple of the magnets have started to pull out but haven't lost any yet. If you have littles that eat things, just monitor them, you'd have to watch that they didn't eat a normal water balloon after it broke anyways. I honestly didn't see a difference between brands (none stopped working) and it was worth every penny not to pick up tiny balloon shards out of the grass! ... show more

We just got them so I can't speak to how durable they are yet, but our kids have already gotten so much fun out of these! They seem durable and the magnets are super strong. So much better for the environment and everyone else! We will definitely be getting more and to give as gifts too! There are many kinds of these out there, but these have the magnets fully enclosed unlike some other brands where the magnets can pop out which would pose a choking hazard for little ones or getting lost and not working. I love this product. Wish I would have bought them sooner. They are durable, we've had no issues with them and I like that they come in a mesh bag to keep them in. These are great for the pool, or to toss around in on the trampoline. If the kids are not using them in the pool, they fill up a big bucket with ice and toss around. Just gave these to my 2 year old niece at her birthday party and the whole extended family (ages 2-50) ended up outside playing with these! I purchased these for my nephews to play with and they were a hit! The only downside is that I thought they would hold up better than they did! One had a small puncture in it after 30 minutes…not really sure how that happened and we played on the grass with them. Another 2 also ripped by the time it was all said and done.
