  • Wow, what a great value
Wow, what a great TV this has been so far. It’s a bit of a smart TV, with direct button access in the remote for Netflix streaming and other 3rd party functions. Only issue I have with the remote is that it isn’t backlit, but that’s a minor quibble given the price and the fact that most users will operate the TV using their cable box remote instead. Set up was super easy, and it walks you through it out of the box. Teaching it the remote code for our Comcast remote was also so easy and simple, I forgot how I did it already. Works flawlessly too. The picture quality is stellar, and the number of onscreen menus for controlling various picture and sound parameters is adequate. I was also pleasantly surprised by the sound quality of the built in speakers, which apparently fire down the bottom panel of the set and not out the front. I think it uses internal cavity space as a sound enhancer, because it produces surprisingly full bodied sound and not the usually super tinny, weak sound that most flat panel TVs we’ve had produce. You could almost get away without a sound bar in a medium sized room , but you may want a sound bar or surround system if you watch a lot of action. Regardless, I think most people will be surprised by the sound quality of this thing’s built in speakers. Overall, it’s been a stellar value so far, and has worked flawlessly since we got it. Would definitely purchase again. Even though these flat panel TVs seem to get cheaper and bigger every year, I’d imagine this tv would still be a competitive value over a year after I bought it Five stars and two thumbs up. ... show more

  • This TV packs a punch!
We weren’t expecting much since this is supposed to be a basic TV but boy how wrong were we. We needed an inexpensive bedroom TV replacement and we shopped around for the past 2-3 weeks. We compared what felt like every model from every store until we decided to go with the X750H. Unfortunately, our local Bestbuy didn’t have it at the time so we settled for a Samsung instead... big mistake. See, what they do in stores is pump high quality videos on their displays to make it look better but the moment you start watching cable or satellite at home, then you’re sitting there wondering why it looks worse then the TV you replaced. We couldn’t return that faster. My husband saw the 750 in stock here with Prime so we jumped on it. I didn’t even know you can buy TVs on Amazon! Anyways, the TV is amazing. The colors just pop but still looks real. No one has weird skin tones or looks neon. Motion was a concern too but based on what we saw in store the 750 performed better than the other TVs in this price range. The Google voice assistant is awesome and will make you lazy. You just press a button on the remote and tell the TV to play something from a specific app and boom, it starts playing. I highly recommend this TV if you’re looking for an inexpensive 4K TV that can handle regular cable and streaming! ... show more

  • Definitely Got My Money's Worth
I bought this extremely nice television on sale, which just makes it that much better. The picture is crisp. The sound is plenty loud even at 30%; 50% is how loud we'd probably set it for movies. And it's also crisp. The setup didn't take all that long, and since my son has an Android phone, he's pleased that the TV is tailored to interface with them. The setup instructions were clear and so is the user manual (although to be honest there isn't that much to it.) The instructions did recommend attaching the TV to the wall for safety, but we're both adults and don't entertain so I don't think we need to take that step. (They're mostly concerned with kids pulling it over.) The TV comes with a one-year limited warranty but in my experience Sony equipment lasts much longer than that, so we didn't order an extended warranty. The one negative: amazon delivery left the damn thing ON THE PORCH and didn't notify us it was out there!!! ... show more

  • There's a whole lot of bang for the buck here
Size: 65 in Set: TV
When my elderly (12 year old) 45" Sony Bravia TV finally gave up the ghost, I bit the bullet and went into the market for a new TV. I was pretty astonished to see you could a 65" Bravia for less than what I bought my old one for back then, but that's progress, right? So how is the finished product? Quite good! It's not flawless, but there's a lot to like, especially considering the incredibly low price point being offered here for a 65" 4K HDR set. Setup with Google was a snap, although I can imagine it would be less pleasant, and more difficult, if you didn't already have a well established Google account for it to link to for setting up apps. The picture is outstanding for a TV this size priced at less than $800. I mean, it has absolutely no business being that good, that big, and that cheap at the same time. This set "only" uses the entry level Sony Android TV processor, but .. guess what? It still looks awesome. I see some people complaining about HDMI audio/visual lags, but I haven't run into them (yet). Are there flaws? Sure. A lot of the ones I've run into are compatibility issues around master control. Basically, if you use a TV strictly as an output monitor for your (Sony) receiver, expect some headaches as your TV "intelligently" (but incorrectly) decides to switch receiver outputs to the screen. Master remote software (NEEO, and others) have no way to get around this - it's pretty much on Android TV I think. However, if you can live with that for the time being, what you have as a big, easy to set up, dynamite looking TV set at a price point that's more or less impossible to hate. Some other vendors like Vizio and Samsung try to compete with the size and price points, but the picture just isn't as good as the Sony. So if you have to replace an outdated unit for whatever reason, or simply don't have a set, I can recommend this without any serious reservations. ... show more
