    • If it not for battery life, this Walkman would had been perfect!!
Pretty decent HiRes music player, a worthy upgrade from my NW-A45. The music app works the same as the NW-A45, in fact the micro sd card that was on my A45 was recognized perfectly with all playlists created using Foobar 2000. Sound improvement from the A45 is noticeable. And like the A45, you don't need the Sony Music center to transfer music, just hook it up to your computer and choose USB for file transfer when Android prompts you. You can then copy your music directly to the micro sd card or the internal memory. The only drawback is battery life, but that has always been an issue with Android. I'm still trying to figure out what to turn off to save on battery. The unit sold by the seller Lucky Fortuna was brand new and didn't have the EU volume cap, so this indeed is not the European version of the player. Still came out cheaper than buying the US version ZX507/S which was much more expensive. And for warranty I purchased the insurance offered by Amazon, which all together came out cheaper than buying the ZX507/S ... show more

    • Battery Drains Fast
I really wanted to love this device. The device feels great in the hand and controls are easy to use but the battery drain just isn't practical for music streaming apps. I'm not an audiophile but I'd like to think I know what sounds good and what doesn't and I wasn't impressed considering the price. I use a Qudelix with my phone and laptop and to me it sounds way better than the Sony. ... show more

What is the difference between this black X507and the silver version for 150 dollars more? Anyway, I saved the money and picked up the black one. There is no volume limiter and it functions awesome. Battery life wasn't what I expected. I do charge this everyday and can use it for several hours for my music and audible. Worth it for my needs. ... show more

    • Very Nice Digital Music Player
My trusty old MS Zune player finally has to go as its software doesn't work with my new Windows 11 computer. I really like having an MP3 player handy with my sound system so I went on the hunt for a new device that was compatible with higher quality digital music, and with streaming. There are several to pick from, but this Sony was a rational price....ok, still very expensive, but less so than the similarly high quality alternatives. It is a very nice device....very well made and sturdy, works well with their Music Center for PC software, lots of storage capacity (including with a micro SD card (sold separately), compatible with many music formats and of course sounds great through headphones or wired to my receiver....I haven't tried bluetooth or wifi with it yet. The sound quality really is excellent, and it includes options for enhancing the sound in various ways. The only complaint I have is that the buttons on the side are next to impossible to use unless you are looking at them. That was easily fixed by purchasing a Benks Flexible Soft Slim Protective Skin Case (available on Amazon). The software/operating instructions are sometimes a bit convoluted, but I did get all the functionality to work, so I'm good with it. ... show more
