Most bath mats, even kept immaculately clean, I find, always get a little slippy which is like...what's the point, then, of having them? The whole point is to make sure I don't die naked in a horrifyingly embarrassing position (at least, not in the bath/shower) - and so I always get annoyed. I liked the way this one was pebble-like, and I figured, might as well give it a try, and I am SO GLAD I DID. The pebbling gives me extra grip, and I don't really know how their plasticky material differentiates itself from other bathmats, but even months later it still hasn't gotten the slippery filmy coating that most others get. This is the second one of these I have bought for my bathtub. The first one lasted 2 years and still functioned, but the clear plastic had discolored enough that even washing it in the washing machine did not help the appearance. I am trying the black now to see if the vinyl discolors less. My bathtub is enameled cast iron, and I have never had a problem with the mat adhering to the surface nor of the mat being slippery in any way and it is comfortable to stand on. Nice bath at that was easy to trim down a bit to fit in my small shower stall. It feels nice underfoot, and does not slip. The clear has a bit of a blue look to it, but that’s fine.

I bought this to use in my toddler’s bathtub so he wouldn’t slip in the bath. Provides a good surface with some grip for him! It looks very nice and not tacky the way some bath mats can look.

    • Uncomfortable to stand on!

I really liked the pebble design of this product. My thinking was that it would allow better water flow underneath helping it to not get as grimy. While it looks exactly as pictured the quality maybe isn’t there. When you stand on it you can feel the sharp plastic sides of each pebble shape as well as the suction cups affixed to the back of some of them. This can make it very uncomfortable to stand on. If it was made with a thicker or heavier plastic I don’t think this would be as much of an issue. I have also noticed that the suction isn’t as strong as some of my previous mats. It is a ver nice length however covering almost my entire tub length. As far as pros it looks very nice and doesn’t seem to stain easily from cleaning products.
