I love how sturdy these riser shelves are and how much more organized the space is now. My mom's cabinet space where she keeps paper dishware has always bugged me because everything is just stacked on each other and I was constantly organizing everything when I visited her. These shelves fit perfectly in the space and allowed me to separate everything the way I've always wanted to. They're very sturdy and not wobbly at all. Assembly was very simple: two A2 legs screw into the A1 board and the two B2 legs screw into the B1 board. My ONLY negative experience was that I didn't have a short screwdriver, like the ones that are only 4" tall, to fit between the leg bar so it was kind of difficult tightening the screw at the slightly off angle (it was probably off by like 5° using a regular screwdriver but it definitely was noticeable trying to screw in the pieces not straight down, meaning the screwdriver handle was on the side of the legs). The screws were pretty fat compared to the hole they were going in so you needed quite a bit of strength to tighten them early on and for sure as you got to the end, especially if you don't want the legs to be wobbly at all. I had to be extra cautious not to strip the screws then, and I was using a screwdriver that fit perfectly in the screw. I'm glad the legs are sturdy after nearly getting a blister on my palm but I wish the screws were the kind that required an alley key instead. 4/5 ... show more

These are pretty cool little shelves. I have one tall cabinet and my concept was to use the two shelves tiered to get maximum use of the space. What I didn't understand is that there is no provision made to attach them to each other once they're stacked. Therefore you have slidy metal legs resting on top of a finished, wood-like surface. I guess you could c-clamp them, or epoxy them together, or at bare minimum use double stick tape so the top shelf doesn't slide around on top of the bottom one. As many photos as they show of them, one atop the other, you would think they were designed to do that securely. Alas, not. However, they fit well in my small but tall space, so I'll figure out a way so that the lack of attachment is not a nuisance or a hazard. ... show more

This work great individually or as stackable. Putting them together to be "expandable" did not work. They are different sizes. Tried same size legs and they did not fit together. Tried opposite legs and it tilted. I'm using individually and they are fine.

I missed it when buying but these are bamboo sheet, hard and tough, certain to outlast anything else you've got! Comparable in strength to the hardest woods and good looking. The supports are sturdy lengths of flat metal welded into a rectangular loop. These are as strong as you could want for most household purposes. Especially worthwhile when on sale! ... show more

***** ASSEMBLY TIPS Some reviewers stated they had issues with the pre-drilled pilot holes, wobbly legs and the screws themselves. I had none of these issues with my order. Others mentioned there is not much clearance to place a screw driver between the top of the shelf and the bottom of the leg. This is true. There is no cheapie short screwdriver included such as may be the case with other products. You will have about 4-5/8 to 4-3/4 inches to work with. It is easier to use a stubby or offset screwdriver. A number 2 phillips screwdriver tip works best. See photos #3 and #5. Photo #3 is the shorter leg. Photo #5 is an optional offset screwdriver. To make the screws easier to install, before attaching the legs screw in the screws about three quarters of the way into the shelf and then remove the screws. When attaching the legs only screw in enough to make the legs secure. The pilot holes on my shelves did not line up exactly center to center, but the entire holes were visible. The legs attached without issue. ***** OTHER DIMENSIONS If you have a tight fit for some objects here are some dimensions not shown in the Amazon product page: The inside dimension between the legs on both shelves is about 10.0 inches (+/- 1/16 inch). See photo #4. The inside dimension from the bottom of the leg to the bottom of the taller shelf is about 5-5/8 inches (+/- 1/16 inch). See photo #6. The inside dimension from the bottom of the leg to the bottom of the shorter shelf is about 4-15/16 inches (+/- 1/16 inch). See photo #7. ***** VERTICAL SPACE RECOVERED I have a boat of spice containers in a kitchen cabinet resulting in wasted vertical space. These shelves solved a lot of my problem. I placed a turntable/Lazy Susan under each shelf. I settled on a Copco 9 inch diameter turntable. There were some other brands available in ten inch, but that may have rubbed on the shelf legs. See photo #8. ***** OVERALL THOUGHTS The shelves look good in just about any place you will use them. The quality is decent. The shelf dimensions are clearly given on the Amazon product page so there should be no surprises such as they are too small, too short, etc. ***** MINOR ANNOYANCES Each shelf has paper labels attached to bottom of the shelf. Some paper and glue residue may be left on the shelf when the label is removed. See photo #9. There are labels that can be easily removed from wood, but this type was not used. I wont let packaging affect my overall review. It's worth mentioning. My order survived shipping thru delivery. Some reviewers complained about the shelf arrived broken. So works for extra space on top of work shelf. Took a minute to get screws in tight enough. A little awkward with screw driver and needs a short handled one otherwise screws want go in and is flimsy. Got it to work but took a few minutes. Would be wonderful if came already put together
