The plastic on this set is much more sturdy than seed starter trays that I've previously purchased, and the squishy silicone bottoms are a fantastic improvement! I'm only growing moss at this moment in mine so I won't get to test that out for a bit, but I imagine this feature will make it much easier to pry seedlings out of the plugs when that time comes. The moss loves it though, as it is able to keep my water and humidity levels up with ease as they require. There are two adjustment valves at the top to control air flow, which is appropriate given the size of these trays and they work well. These trays are HUGE, so I appreciate that the rows are separate so that I can use 4 at a time. Can't wait to try these for seeds and propogations in the near future! ... show more

I wasn't very happy with this seed starter tray because I had issues getting the little plants out after they sprouted. Their roots kept breaking off, regardless to how I tried to remove them. I would not reorder, due to this issue.

This is a really great seed starting tray set. I like that each of the four trays holds 20 seed starting cells, that is so much easier and less awkward to move the seed trays. These will work great under my grow lights, I have been wanting to start a bunch of herbs to plant outside next year, as well as some new succulent seeds that I have ordered. The flexible silicone bottoms will make it easier to remove the rooted seedlings for transfer to a larger pot or outside. The seed starting set also includes some nice extras, such as plant labels. I earned the hard way when I planted outside this year, and I didn’t label my outside plants, so now I am not sure if I have watermelons, squash or melons. ... show more

Pretty cool kit! I’ve only grown a few things from seed but I immediately shoved some strawberries in it. Can’t wait to see the progress! Update: I LOVE this kit. The silicone bottoms are a game changer. Makes removing delicate seedlings soooooo easy. They just pop right out!

This is a nice set of reusable seed starter trays. It's well constructed and the plastic feels very durable. The silicone part of it molded directly to the plastic and it makes it really easy to pop the seedlings out.
