I bought this on sale. It's well worth the cost and feels like a good quality torch. Weight is medium as the handle is metal. Flame strength is normal (maybe even on the light side for a torch) but it gets hot enough to kick out a blue flame. It's easy to use too.

It is much larger than I expected. It pretty heavy duty. No having to light it like some pencil torches do. This you just pull the trigger back and it goes off when you release the trigger. There’s a safety piece of plastic you can put on the trigger to prevent it from going off but it’s not child proof by any means. Weight is just right. Speed is great, utility is great. Super easy to use! Very good quality feeling. I wish it came with butane, but I bet you can’t mail it with it? Idk why I expected it to be full. ... show more

Very easy to use and it shoots flame every time I press the trigger. This is important for me since i use it to shoot spiders and flies, like a mini flame thrower. The flame is not as big as other ones I had, but good enough for my purposes.

I bought this to replace another mini torch that the starter had given out on. I have to say I like this one better than my old one. The starter on this one works first pull where my old one took several pulls to eventually start it. This one also has a stronger flame. At high, it really shoots out but is easily throttled down to a small flame. Filling on this one also works better than my old one. The sight window is extremely handy to know how full it is. My old torch didn't have that so was hard to know when to fill. I give this one two thumbs up and my highest recommendation. Cheap and works well, what's not to like! ... show more

    • Poor location for flame adjust lever, and too inefficient

Had this for a couple of weeks, used almost daily. I use if for "crafting", not cooking, so if you are cooking with it you may be happier than I am with it's features and issues. First problem, the slide lever to adjust the flame strength is right where your top of your hand will rest, causing it to move the lever while using it. This should either have some sort of positive resistance (so it doesn't easily move) or be moved to the back of the torch where it won't be accidentally touched while in use. The other issue I have had is that this thing isn't very efficient. I've had other smaller torches last me months on one charge (of less butane). This thing is almost out (after being fully charged) and will need recharging after just three of weeks of use. Does it work? Yup. Would I buy it again? Nope. Would I recommend it? Nope. Will I keep using it? Nope, got another item being delivered today to replace it. ... show more

I ordered this butane torch even though I have a lot of butane and plasma lighters. I needed something well made for small soldering projects which would be difficult with an electric soldering iron due to lack of electricity nearby. This torch has a nice solid feel to it and very reliable triggered ignition. I use it for it's intended purpose and even for lighting incense cones which is does very well.
