Much to know before ordering ! It is heavy in the box so you might need some help. To snap in the back, you might need to kick it in. Do not order if you don't have a very deep tub. Also measure that you have as much of the tub in front of you as will be required for the chair. A long tub in necessary. In an textured acrylic tub, the suction cups may not stick but it will still be stable .Do a trial run dry to make sure you are comfortable and have the room you need. It is probably best to shower elsewhere as soap scum or shampoo, shaving cream may be difficult to clean off. If you have a separate shower, clean yourself there. Use this tub as a soaking tub only so it is easy it keep clean. Even with it all the way down, it takes away about five inches of how deep you will descend. Beyond that, it is wonderful. I have cancer and so much of me aches now. Fill the tub half way and descend down. Then fill the rest of the way .So easy to go down and have it come up to get out of the tub with ease. ... show more

I bought this chair so that my mom could take baths (instead of showers) again without the fear of getting stuck in the tub. This chair is working perfectly! She weighs about 130 lbs and it goes up and down well for her. She has been using it only a couple of weeks, but loves it! There are 6 suction cups on the bottom, which I felt better about than the four on others, and it reclines as she goes down. Other notes: There is not an option to go down without reclining, but she does not see a need for that. Secondly, the connection n the cord to the remote does not have a place to hang on the chair, so we ran the cord through the headrest. I just felt better about it not being in the water. We also hung a command hook on the outside of the tub, so she has a place to hang the remote. ... show more

The chair works very well in the tub that we have. One is a standard size tub with shower. The other is a larger sized whirlpool tub. The chair fits well in both and works extremely well in both. However, both my wife and I are handycapped. Both of us are very weak in leg, back and arm strength. The chair is not heavy for healthy adults to lift and carry. I can do it but it is extremely difficult. We share the bathroom with our children as they visit. So, we have to remove the chair which only my wife needs. Again, the weight makes it difficult to do. There is no included device to secure the back once folded for moving. So, the back, once folded will flip around when moving the chair. An added benefit of this chair is that it can be used when my wife falls, which is frequently. Once I get it to her, she is able to move herself into the seat and lift herself up. Was just what my mom needed to help with taking a bath. Solved issues with getting in and out of the tub. Proper setup in the tub is important to prevent falling. Does require someone to press the buttons to lower and raise the chair. Unfortunately most caregiver services would not do. Plus it's heavy so most won't move it once setup. Still a perfect tool. Truly a bath buddy for my mom. Else she would have to take a shower which she doesn't like taking a shower ... show more

I love it I can finally take a bath and what I like about it is it goes all the way down to the bottom of the tub. I have a Roman tub and I just love taking a bath and I couldn’t get out of the bathtub because of my knees, and now I get out very easily. It works perfectly, it’s excellent. I would recommend this to anyone and the price was wonderful compared to so many others I had seen. I have been checking for over a year and didn’t think I could afford one until I saw this. I am so happy I bought this bath chair! An older woman who is filled with arthritis, and with three artificial joints (both knees, and one hip) I could not use my bathtub for years. I was limited to a shower, which, if you're older, you understand that can be a bit dangerous. I saw this bath chair and decided to give it a try, even though it was not inexpensive. Not only is it very sturdy, it is very comfortable and makes getting in and out of my bathtub extremely easy. Sometimes I use it just as a shower chair, meaning I let it stay up as I turn on my shower. Other times, I use it to go all the way down in the bathtub and soak. It is extremely reliable, and when the control needed to be recharged, it let me know, and I was able to recharge it very quickly, and now it is working again wonderfully. Received a SolutionBased BathLyft - FSA HSA Eligible | Battery-Powered Reclining Bath Lift Chair which broke on setup, never used and was returned the very next day. A restocking fee of $170.65 dollars was charged for the item. How can a broken item be restocked? Buyer be ware.
