The other reviews are correct. The design of the clip is bad. While trying to install it by forcing it, you will shred the two round protuberances on the case which serve to keep the clip in place. Since this is the second time I ordered the remotes, I decided there has to be a better way to install the clips to the remotes. The "magic sauce" is a to dab a few drops of Teflon lubricant (not WD-40) on the back of the remote where the clip slides in. Do NOT spray the teflon lubricant directly on the back of the remote. It will be too much and might damage the internal electronics. Spray the lubricant to the end of a Q-tip and then dab the lubricant to the back of the remote where the clip slides into place. Use a flathead jewelers screwdriver to left up the flat end of the clip where it stops at the first nob. Then push & wiggle the other end of the while you simultaneously use the flat head screwdriver to lift the clip up and over the first round protuberance. Be patient and keep at it but do not use brute force since you will wind up shearing off the two plastic protuberances. After you clear the first protuberance, use the same approach with the second protuberance. Wiggle one end of the clip while you lift up the end with the screwdriver. The lubricant will get you to the finish line without seriously damaging the plastic protuberances. Solidremote, there must be a better design that will allow for installing the clip to the remote while still keeping it secure once it locks into place. Feel free to incorporate my above tips into your description of the product as well as with the instructions for the remotes. ... show more

We purchased a home with an older chamberlain garage door opener, one installed in 2008. We needed a remote for it. We called the installation company whose tag we found on the unit. They said it would cost $89. for a new remote, but they would recommend a $169. service plus they would program the new remote for an additional $89. We decided to check Amazon for the remote we needed. Luckily, we found the Solidremote. We ordered the pack of 2 remotes from Amazon, they arrived 1 day after ordering, I programmed the two remotes following the instructions which came in the package, and within 10 minutes after arrival we had two working remote controls for $20 ! After reading the reviews online I took the advice of others and when attaching the visor clips I applied DW40 to the back of the clip and the remote clip groove. (Make sure to use a paper towel when applying the lubricant and do not spray lubricant directly on the remote.) The clips slipped in easily. ... show more

The description of this item performed as promised & the directions were simple to follow. The extra remotes are needed by all family members, & duplicating the remotes allowed for all residents to have easy access to the garage, including since we all frequently walk the family dogs & remotes are easier than keys to use. Also, a great idea for plant/pet sitters if you hire someone while away from home. This item was easy to program by following the clear & simple directions. Only caution, there is a button to push on the electric garage box connected to the ceiling of the garage, so if you have balance problems you might want to seek some assistance. I have to say that I had doubts about the remote.... I have an old (2007) Chamberlain opener and my original remotes were bad! One quit and the other was iffy! I picked these mainly because they looked like the originals! To my surprise, I had both remotes programmed and working in a minute and a half and the range was the same as the originals when they were new! These are priced great, easy to program and work perfectly......so, yes, I recommend them highly!!!!!! ... show more

Bought and never set them up until the only garage clicker we had I lost…… my husband keeps thinking it’s a good idea to put the clicker on top of the car instead of just opening up the passenger door and setting it in the chair…. I really like the fact these little guys were very easy to program. They are very convenient because they are nice and small but more importantly, they are very responsive. With our old, large garage openers we constantly struggled getting the garage door to respond but these little garage door openers we can open or close the garage door with one push of the button. The only negative thing would be that the cover that protects the buttons is a little hard to slide sometimes. But I definitely recommend this product. ... show more
