  • Meh. Not very good - should have returned it
Color: Blue
The stand is utterly useless. The weight of the stand is insufficient to sit on the counter without flopping over … and that’s either with or without the soldering iron. Don’t put a hot iron in the stand or you’ll have a rude surprise when it falls over and burns you. The iron itself portends to have a temperature control but it seems to burn way hotter then the readout says even on the lowest temperature setting. The iron itself feels a little off balance and heavy - likely cause the temperature control is built into the handle. I wouldn’t buy it again and I’m looking for a replacement. I should have returned it before the return window closed. The one plus is it came with some solder and a few replacement tips. But it doesn’t save the lack luster performance of the us thing. ... show more

  • Gets hot enough!
Color: Blue
This soldering iron gets plenty hot but dislike that it is celcius instead of farenheit degrees, & does not give you an option. I googled the temperature conversion,so I would know how hot it was.. and it does get HOT! Does a very nice job. The stand you place it in to cool off isn't sturdy .not sturdy& not heavy weighted enough! The iron itself is "cute" & makes holes in bottom of my 17gal tubs easily for drainage, to grow my 🥔 potatoes in. 🤗 ... show more

  • TAKE MY ADVICE!!!
Color: Blue
I was a complete NOOB when it came to soldering. I've learned that the flux & sponge are trash. Buy yourself some good flux and some iron wool. And then the kit will work great. It took days of frustration and wanting to rip my hair out. Purchased some new flux and iron wool. Before considering an entirely new iron. And my results were great! Would recommend the kit to any beginner like me. Do your research, and CLEAN YOUR TIPS! Throw the flux straight in the trash upon arrival. ... show more

  • When I needed it, it worked great.
Color: Blue
I haven't had it long but, two times it got the job done. Once with a key fob that had a broken battery holder. The other with connecting wire underneath my cars dash. On off switch is handy. Temperature control is great for different situations. It comes with a variety of tips I might not use but, I'm glad they came with it. ... show more

  • Decent starter kit for price
This will work for small DIY projects for the tinkering person. Soldering Iron works good, stands, suction tool and little screwdriver set and other little extras are a bonus to have. The volt meter is not very well made. The leads in my kit had melted plastic inside and around the exterior of contact point on leads. I had to scrape off plastic with knife and then reform the diameter of the plugs to the proper dimensions, since the plastic got injected inside the lead plug and increased its diameter, to have it plug into volt meter without snapping cheap plastic construction. You possibly could be satisfied with kit overall for small projects as it does work as a cheaper soldering iron should without having it run for "hours" on end. I can't see too well these days, so I keep my soldering short and sweet. The volt meter however is a different story. It is a big pile of steaming stuff I used to have to scrape off the drip shed (definition below) every morning and evening growing up on the dairy farm (Good Times, NOT!). This of course is my humble, yet honest opinion and review of this product ... A "Drip Shed" is the waiting room for cows before they enter the barn to get milked. We had 140 head of cattle we milked, so many cows stood there for several hours waiting their turn and since cows do what cows do, and more often than not, the drip shed was over 6" deep of the stuff I am comparing the volt meter to. I had to define what a drip shed is for those who didn't know what a drip shed is and keep in line with my Country Boy funny reviews. Plus, I just like to drop useless knowledge even if I would like to forget what a drip shed is .. Peace and stay safe out there ... show more

  • Perfect for circuit boards when building computer
Color: Blue
The media could not be loaded. My boyfriend asked me to order a soldering iron kit as he has a a few computer projects he needed it for . He is building his own computer .He said this one heated up quickly for him. He liked the adjustable temperature design on the LCD display. It comes with different tips to work with for different types of projects. Many soldering irons don't have the lcd display so that way a big seller that he likes on this one. It worked great for him and i liked the price! It also came with welding resin, a metal stand and wire. a sponge and different tips to use. ... show more

  • Good but costly.
Color: Blue
Nice unit does the job but not cheap. The unit and bits should be no more than 10USD with a healthy profit. The LCD screen is quite cheaply made and the rehostat isn't going to last long. The stand/holder is useless without weight hot glued into the bottom. Fire waiting to happen as is. Maybe its 80 watts but one cannot verify claim. 3 prong power cord unnecessary, unit doesn't have a case ground. Sponge is a joke and a insult. That all said, it is easy on the eyes and the chicks dig the blue color choice. Heats up quickly and cools down quickly. Easy to hold. Tips are just adaqiut and limited but work. Solor from kit is the bees knees. Used it multiple times and seems to be satisfactory. For 10USD it would be on par for a good fair price. 20USD is really quite expensive for what you getting out of China, I feel violated. Going back. Thanks Prime. ... show more

  • Soldering iron does its job
Color: Blue
For the price point it is a very nice little device. It is quite clear that the thermostat function works. I have no real way of testing the values to see their accuracy, but in a relative sense they are certainly correct. It heats rapidly the stand is a little silly and needs some mass added to be worthwhile, otherwise it is easy to knock over while in its holster. The changeable tips are neat and I have already done more electrical fixing with this one than I ever did with the iron I had before. This one is more fun to use and it doesn't leach heat to badly into the handle. I tend to hold it quite close to the business end with no ill effect. It is nice to have solder come with it. ... show more
