This little cordless soldering wand can be pretty handy but there are also some drawbacks that are mildly irritating. THE PROS: It heats up almost instantly It's compact and lightweight No cord to get caught up on stuff CONS: You have to hold down the "active" button the entire time you're using it No option to change tips (The most frustrating part) A full charge doesn't come anywhere close to working long enough for me to get even part way through a project. I constantly have to quit what I'm doing and let it charge for a couple hours. Overall I think it's a handy tool to have but should not be your primary soldering tool. ... show more

I’m not a soldering pro, but I can do okay with my corded soldering iron. I haven’t figured out how to get comparable results from this product. It’s big and I haven’t been able to control the temperature well enough to do anything useful.
