This little pump is a good value for the money. The solar panel must be in full sun without even the shadow of a leaf, but I’m sure thats because it has no battery storage. It came with an option to trickle charge batteries (batteries not included), but that was useless and a little confusing since the description left the impression that there was some kind of back up battery power. ... show more

It may seem the sun has to be fully out for this to work, THIS IS BECAUSE THERE IS NO BATTERY IN IT TO SAVE ENERGY. I pulled mines apart. YOU HAVE TO BUY THE BATTERIES SEPARATELY.
