I bought two sets of these to outline an arbor. Did the lights work? Yes, but they came so tightly coiled that it was like trying to straighten a Slinky. They kinked up when trying to unroll them. The description called them “fairy” lights which are usually very thin, but not these. There was no way I could use them so I finally gave up and sent them back. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I [RECOMMEND] this rope of fairy lights. Great length and no plug needed. Pros: ~Solar and battery operated ~Long 66ft length with a lead of about 6 feet. ~Several different light modes ~Comes on automatically at dusk ~Waterproof Cons: ~These aren't really cons, just limitations of this product: not color-changing; timer option, but built in and no way to change it; thicker than standard fairy light strings, but not as thick as a rope light. _____ I ordered these lights to wrap around my deck and complement the hanging lights. My deck is about 12ft x 12ft and these lights wrapped around the three edges easily. Solar lights are generally dimmer than standard or even battery-operated which makes them a perfect ambiance type light set. The lights do not come with a remote, the on/off switch and light mode control are on the solar unit. The lights automatically come on at dusk and automatically go off at some point during the night, but I'm not sure how long they actually stay on. So, they have built in timer, but I do not know how long that timer is for. I'm guessing about 8 hours from the various times I've woken up in the middle of the night and they have been off. The lights have been out in the sun/rain/snow for a while now and operate just fine. No issues with not being waterproof. The lights are noticeably dimmer on cloudy/overcast days, but there is a battery back up to keep it powered up during those times if you want them brighter. ... show more
