I picked this camera up to make it easier to connect attachments to my tractor. You download the app (there's two to choose from, I used MH Cam), go into wi-fi settings and searched for SONiX---- and connect phone to that, then open the app, and you're looking at video feed from the camera. I mount this to the front loader of my tractor, so I can see if I'm lined up to connect to the bucket or whatever. It's a trick to do without the camera, because I can't see around the hood of the machine. Also, I stick it to the back when dragging an implement back there, works great for seeing what's going on back there, or again, engaging and connecting an attachment. I tried it in the bed of my truck, to see if I could use it to line up the ball in the bed for a gooseneck trailer. That is going to be handy. I can already see side to side, but have always had to get out and look to see if I'd backed up far enough for the hitch to drop on the ball. ... show more

    • This is great works pretty good .
This camera is great for backing up to my trailers. It is a little slow sometimes to connect to my phone. But when it gers there it has a very good picture. And I have a groove neck for my 5th wheel and it is perfect for backing up for that. Will order another one.

It has such a clear picture. It was very easy to install and was very happy to see how the magnetic strip kept the camera on the trailer in on the most bumpiest roads. Definitely worth it!

    • Solar does not charge
The solar panel does not charge, it has been on my camper for two weeks in the sun and had one bar of battery that ran out within 15 minutes. The signal is barely strong enough to reach my truck from my 24 foot trailer so the signal drops out often.

I place this camera on the rear bumper of my 29’ travel trailer and view the image while driving so I can see objects that are in my mirrors’ blind spots. It also lets me check for objects while backing the trailer. I use the camera with either my Apple iPhone or iPad mini depending on the screen size desired. Setup: Camera setup is simple. There are no wires to run because the camera operates on its own internal battery and connects to other devices wirelessly. After turning power ON at the camera I go into my device WiFi settings and select the WiFi network that is broadcast by the camera. The User Manual suggests two apps that can be used for viewing camera images on my Apple devices. I installed them both. Once my WiFi is connected to the camera, as soon as I open either app, the camera image appears. The two apps are similar, but each crops the image differently, so it’s worth trying both. Signal strength and resolution: The camera image can be viewed with the proper app from any WiFi capable device within range of the signal generated by the camera. In my tests, the signal seemed good to a distance of about 100 feet. I have had no problem receiving a strong signal in my tow vehicle. The image is sharp enough to clearly see my surroundings with no noticeable lag time. But the still images I capture with the apps are not as clear as photos taken with my phone (see the photos I uploaded). Mounting: The magnets in the base are very strong and allow the camera to be attached to any surface that attracts a magnet. The camera does NOT move when my trailer bounces. Charging and battery life: After a full charge with the included charger and cable, I found the camera would run for about 29 hours of continuous operation. This is more than adequate for a full day of towing, and if plugged in overnight, the camera is fully charged by the next day. During my tests, I purposely ran the battery dead and found that a full day of solar charging only provided about 10 minutes of operation. So I won’t be relying on the solar panel as a primary source of charging. But I expect the solar panel will be a good way to keep a trickle charge on a fully charged battery when the camera is not in use. Additional pros: -Less expensive than other cameras because the camera doesn’t need a dedicated monitor. -Infrared LEDs provide camera operation in the dark (in black and white). -1 year warranty after registering (for free) on the company’s web site. -Customer service from this company via email was better than I expected when I had a problem with a previous model camera. A few cons: -The apps do not let you record or save videos. You can only capture and save still photos. -The camera has no audio capabilities. -There is no battery gauge on the display. So the only way to know the battery level is by viewing the LED’s on the camera itself. -The camera cannot be turned on/off remotely.     • Easy to set up and use.
This is a great camera that allows you to view your trailer or just your rear view without the need of elaborate wiring or mounting of a monitor. The camera is easily charged via the external charger and the solar panel helps keep the battery charged while using during the day. I was impressed with the features of the camera (mirror imaging and flipping of the image, etc) and the ease of making the changes for such a low cost unit. I linked it to the "RV Camera" app on my Iphone and it has worked flawlessly. I will say that having to change the WiFi connection to the camera's WiFi is a bit of a pain but not difficult and it is necessary to enable the clear real time picture that is presented. I have used it to help line up my boat trailer when hooking up to the hitch and it has taken the guess work out of the process. The high strength magnet sure makes it easy to mount the camera and move it for whatever viewing you need to do. I also have wired four camera system from Voonoa for my motorhome and have been impressed with that for the feature rich offering that it has provided.     • Perfect for my horse trailer！
The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased this backup camera for my trailer and I couldn't be more satisfied. With this camera, I no longer have to worry about wiring anything, as most wireless cameras still require some wiring. However, this camera is perfect. It features 6 incredibly strong magnets on the bottom, ensuring that it stays securely attached to my trailer without any sliding or shifting. With a full charge, I hardly ever have to worry about the battery running out throughout the day, as it also comes with a solar panel that provides some extra power.
