The media could not be loaded. I've been eager to set up my solar irrigation system, and this kit has everything I need to get started. What I like most about this is the solar-powered control panel, which means I don't have to worry about finding a nearby outlet or specific placement for it. As long as the solar panel is facing the sun, I can program it to water my plants exactly when and where they need it. The kit comes with tubing, connectors, and some handy accessories like scissors and small digging tools. While it's enough to get started, I'll need to purchase additional tubing since my plants are spread out all over the front deck. I plan to tape the tubing along the bottom to ensure none of the tubing gets dislodged. Setting up the system was a bit challenging since there were no instructions included. The programming process took some trial and error, but with the help of a friend experienced in irrigation systems, we got it up and running smoothly. You'll also need to charge the control panel via USB before programming it. Once set up, I was able to customize the watering schedule to meet my plants' needs. Currently, it dispenses water every day to combat the summer heat, but I may adjust it to every two or three days in the fall. Overall, this solar drip irrigation system is a fantastic investment for plant lovers. While there's a bit of a learning curve, the convenience and effectiveness make it well worth it. The media could not be loaded. This product worked really awesome until it just stopped working. Either the computer stopped or the pump stopped. Doesn't turn on after a couple days. This was my second return. The first one did the same thing as of the second. If you happen to get one that keeps working, it's a great system but the quality is just really bad.     • Literal life saver
I have a fairly large outdoor vegetable garden with its own timer and gravity-fed watering system, but I also grow stuff in the greenhouse all summer long where it can get hot enough to kill off plants in a few days if they go unwatered. This makes it tricky to go away for any length of time unless I hire or ask someone to fill in. In theory, this clever little kit will be a literal lifesaver. But does it work? Full disclaimer: I'm still in the process of configuring this kit for its final installation but before I went to all that trouble I ran a few tests. The manual is tiny but helpful. When first powered on, the unit will beep until you connect and submerge the water level probes into a container of water. Like most water timers, there are two distinct modes: timed and manual. I tested the manual option first by connecting everything. Yes, it is a bit of a pain to get the tubing onto the outlet and inlet barbs, just be sure you're using very hot water to soften the tips and make sure it gets all the way past the barb head (otherwise it may pop off). The pump worked well and is not overly loud. Timer mechanism also worked as it should. All in all, consider me happy with this system, but I will report back with any issues. ... show more
