  • Attractive, Functional, Great EDC
Color: Satin/Wood Handle
I'm always in the market for a handsome pocket knife, but when I wanted to upgrade my every-day-carry, I went with this one. Let me break it down: -Wooden applique is made from a real hardwood, and has an attractive grain/finish. Obviously its not as durable as the other metal options for this knife, but it will hide minor wear and tear better than other materials. -Spring opening mechanics for this knife are nifty. I like using the back 'switch' rather than the thumb studs, adds a little unique flair over typical pocket knives. One compromise to this mechanism is that it takes two hands to close. Also, the safety switch seems a little useless to me, but it does work very well. -The pocket clip isn't too bulky, and is on the opposite end as most other knives I've had. However, I decided to remove it (I like the look and feel better). I don't recommend doing this unless you have some handy precision tools laying around. The screws that hold it on are too long to put back by themselves. I had to cut/file them down to make them shorter... tricky work. -The blade came extremely sharp, but I can't speak to its hardness yet (I've only had it for a little). AUS-8 stainless steel has a pretty high carbon content, and is a little harder than 440A stainless steel (used in many pocket knives). So, it should stay sharper for longer. Overall impressions are very good. I really like the weight and size. It seems well engineered and assembled. One tip for cleaning, don't take this knife apart. I did and once I noticed that the spring around the pivot point could easily come uncoiled, I quickly aborted that mission. Instead, use a q-tip to get the pocket lint out. ... show more

  • Great little knife
Color: Satin/Wood Handle
Great little knife, solidly built with the look and feel of a high quality blade and package. "Twitch" is a great name, as to open the blade, you simply place a finger on the protruding tab, and twitch/flick the tab down into the knife body and the blade flicks out to open position. No exaggerated hand motion is required--just the flick of a finger. Makes one-handed opening a breeze. I love this little blade, and look forward to many years of trusted use. It fits perfectly in my keys/knife pocket in my blue jeans, but also plan to carry daily to work in a business suit, as it has an "executive" appearance and is rather "cute"--heck, it should even impress the ladies, slicing olives at the bar for your favorite martinis. Seems equally good for performing shallow battlefield surgeries, though sits small in the hand (not a full-size combat-style blade). I'd categorize this work of art as a precision cutting tool vs. blunt instrument for banging, prying, etc. Double locking mechanism is tight and well designed. Especially love the look and feel of the wood handles/scales. ... show more

  • Excellent EDC knife
Color: Satin/Wood Handle
This replaced a lost Twitch II that I carried for the last 10 years. I absolutely love the rosewood scales. They will age nicely as they absorb the oils from my hands. I may apply some tung or neats foot oil to the scales just to keep them treated. This blade comes scalpel sharp outbid the box and the flip open action is superb. The clip positioning allows for perfect pocket carry. ... show more

  • Quality, but a little awkward
Color: Satin/Wood Handle
A nice little knife that doesn't quite live up to the rave reviews it gets online IMO. Still a keeper though. PROS: + Excellent blade shape & heel for many uses + Compact size & weight goes anywhere + Well made, no flaws in the manufacturing + Attractive, not aggressive looking (in wood) + Both clip and lanyard attachment points CONS: - Thumb stud is positioned such that you'll cut yourself, don't use it (already did, ouch) - Flip/assist mechanism takes practice, requires holding the knife a bit precariously - Back lock is less safe than a liner lock because of the way you have to hold the knife to press the lock ... show more

  • Almost perfect
Color: Satin/Wood Handle
This is exactly the size I needed. Perfect for clipping into a hip pocket. Fits especially well in the 5th pocket on a pair of jeans. The wood scales feel really good in the hands. It kicks open very nicely. The clip is very sturdy. It looks great. It has a safety lock for some reason. I guess it could be useful in certain scenarios (small children running around?) but I don't use it. I haven't had a problem with it locking unintentionally. Stuff that I should maybe take off one star: 1. There's a bit of play in the blade that is noticeable when it is closed. I resolved this by tightening it up. This required loosening it first to break the blue loctite on the threads. Then I carefully tightened and loosened it until, after tweaking it fractions of a millimeter at a time, I got it just right. Now there is minimal play when the blade is closed, it returns to center anyway, and it is not so tight that I notice it when I flick it open. 2. I expected it to be sharper out of the box. I carefully sharped up the edge with a Lansky system. It has gotten only light use, but it doesn't seem to have dulled since I sharpened it. 3. Unless my middle finger is nestled in the pocket clip, it is a little too small and slippery to open one-handed. I have the clip so that it is touched by my middle finger on my right hand, and is easy to open one-handed. But trying it with my left hand is trickier and I have to be much more deliberate and careful. ... show more

  • Not the Same Knife as Described in negative reviews!
Color: Satin/Wood Handle
This knife had been on my wish list since I discovered it a few months back. I didn't make the purchase because of a few Amazon customers gave a one-two star ratings. YouTube didn't help. A couple of videos demonstrated the flaws in details after unboxing from the package. They showed the "play" on the blade and poor workmanship of the wood handle. Against my better judgement, I ordered one anyway--after all it's been three months and because the knife was too beautiful. I have to take a chance. It arrived soon enough and I dropped everything and began to inspect it like those guys in YouTube videos. The knife was perfect! It's not what was described in the negative reviews. I guess SOG company must have fixed the problems or tightened quality control... or I just got lucky. ... show more

  • Perfect size carry knife.
Color: Satin/Wood Handle
Quality materials and build quality. Seems like it will last a long time. Little pricey though. Would buy again.
