This product arrive on time. It was slightly longer than original (1/4 to 1/2 inch). I needed it and figured that it was just factory slop. Length is critical as if to long it will not pull clutch up enough to engage the driven disk. Long story short, there was a pre-drilled hole in handle already so I went to Ace Hardware and bought a 4 inch eye bolt along with four washers and two nuts. I installed as shown in pictures and it moved cable slightly out of line enough to take up slack. Works perfect now and was not that much trouble to perform the work around. ... show more

It works. Direct replacement. Only issue (if you want it to be an issue) is, it is made to look like a "Snapper" part. Mine was not. The product I received (which was a direct replacement) was a Briggs and Stratton part. It seems like a quality part, my mower is back up and running properly.

The cable is longer than original by 3 inches. I definitely had to shorten the cable in order for it to work. I could have made my own cable but never thought about it until I got this cable but after I shortened it it was fine.
