This is a decent storage box for 5×8 photos/index cards. This box is convenient because you can break it down, allowing you to keep more on hand because it doesn't take up alot of space. I use this card file box all the time, along with its cousin the 3x5" car box. The boxes are well made, reinforced with chrome metal accents. They snap together quickly and securely. When I outgrow these, I will buy more of them. I take notes on very portable 3x5" cards and also 4x6" cards when I get ideas, insights, or want to record information. I use the 4x6s for longer notes or artistic ideas. I type most of these into my word processor. I file all the cards, including the word processed notes (as backups in case I ever lose that electronic data). So these boxes help me stay organized. Great little box. Interior dimensions need to be updated on the Amazon description. Box interior measures 8“ wide x 9-1/4“ long x 5-1/2“ tall(without lid). I was a little upset, this item and another one from a different store were shipped in the same box, and I was charged shipping twice. I was SO disappointed that these boxes didn't come with the pictures dividers. Dividers was a key word in my search and was definitely part of the product description. They're fine. They seem good quality for something that ships flat & snaps togy easily but now I have to search for dividers...

I am a slightly OCD storer.. I have boxes with labels for everything.... I absolutely love the Snap N Store boxes - they're great, sturdy little boxes that clip together very easily. They look fantastic and so much more well finished when comparing with the many others I have from Ikea. The thing I really liked about assembling these boxes over the ones from Ikea was that there is no pushing fiddly little bolts through punched holes that aren't quite cut all the way around and then having to tighten the equally fiddly little nuts - the Snap and Store are exactly as their name implies - Snap them together and then start using them! ... show more

This works as it should, I was just personally expecting it to be a little bit...sturdier? The snaps you see in the photos are real snaps and they are what holds this together. The snaps themselves are very sturdy, I just feel like the whole box is just a little wobbly since the edges are snapped instead of folded maybe. It still works great for what I use it for, which is storing large notecards with recipes on.
