If you are old school like me and still have paper recipes then you must have this recipe box. I had all of my recipe cards in a metal box that I have had since I was a kid. Now that I am old and the box is at least 50 years old it had become kind of rusted and worn. I ordered this plastic one to replace the metal one. It holds them perfectly. The media could not be loaded. I’m in nursing school and used this to hold all my notecards of the medications i need and it works great for this. It’s an easy way to store them so I can put them in my bag and take them to clinical with me without worrying about them getting ruined. This box fits normal 3x5 notecard dividers in my experience. The tops of the dividers might get a little bent when the lid closes but it’s really nothing too excessive. The lid doesn’t have a tight seal all the way around when you close it but it closes and stays closed and gets the job done. When I first got it, the box would tip over when I opened it, but that problem went away once I got enough notecards in it to balance it out. I needed something cheap to hold my flashcards and this was perfect. For $6 I wasn’t expecting the best but it works. The back part kind of came off and I had to reclick it in but not a big deal for me. If you need something that will hold up with a lot of uncautious handling, like for kids, this might not be your best choice.
