It was not to had to assemble and it very similar to the factory crossbars at one quarter the price. It did have two of the plastic covers that cover the lock fly off at high speed but I contacted the company and they sent me 2 replacement covers. It does the job, Update I've just had these on a long trip and had no issues what so ever. I changed my rating from a 4 to a 5. Also FYI these bars do fir on the 2024 Kia Sportage with fluch roofrails. The Sportage and Hyndai Tucson are basically the same car. If you look up Yakima crossbars for both vehicles the part numbers are the same... ... show more

Excellent cross bars, very sturdy and strong. Only (very mild) complaint is that tightening some of the assembly screws can get a bit trying, given the tight working space and upside-down angle atop the car.

I hate to write a bad review, but it does not work on my 2022 Tucson. It does not matter how tight I make the bolts in the clamps, I can go to the other side and slide the bar off. I am going to try to add washers on the bolts to see if I can make it fit. Unfortunately, I waited 34 days to do the installation, and now I can't return it.     • Function as advertised but had one come off the car
The product seemed to be well built. The cross bars fit the car very well and were easy to install. We used them along with separately purchase accessories to transport kayaks about 3 times over a 4 month period. After a recent long trip without anything installed on the cross bars, we arrived home to find one of the two cross bars missing. There was no evidence of damage to the rails where the cross bar was installed and it was originally installed very tightly per the instructions. We believe that the clamping fasteners must have vibrated loose. The clamping bolts include a split washer that I assume is intended to prevent loosening but it may not be sufficient. Split washer may not be the best hardware to prevent vibration loosening in critical applications. The product was otherwise satisfactory. If you have these installed, check to be sure they are secure before every drive. ... show more

It was a good fit on a 2024 Tucson. They appear to be well built. The screw threads in one hole of one of the crossbars was a little rough and wouldn’t accept the screw. It was easily fixed by running a tap into it to clean up the threads. I haven’t transported anything using them yet so can’t comment on how well they hold on to the roof rails. ... show more
