    • Does not fit 2019 Honda HR-V
No matter what I do, these do not fit my 2019 Honda HR-V. Even tightened as much as they can be, the cross bars still slip and slide across the roof making it impossible to ensure a kayak stays on the roof. Very disappointed in the product overall. I'm going to try to sell them online and buy the ones that actually fit my car. ... show more

    • Had to return. Didn’t fit tight enough.
The crossbars are solid, would be perfect if they fit on the sidebars tight. However, after installing the bars they just had too much play and I was uncomfortable with the thought of putting items on the roof and driving down a highway. I wanted these to fit because they are very solid and sturdy (and a great price!) but just couldn’t get them to be tight on the factory side rails. Had to return. Maybe different model vehicles with different rails would work but the HRV it didn’t. I even compared to my other two vehicles that have factory crossbars to see if they had even a little play and neither did. So I just couldn’t keep these and sleep at night. ... show more

The bars were very easy to install, I haven’t tested them with my kayak yet but they are STURDY. It’s a plus that they look great too! It’s a seamless design, would order again. For the price they are great! 10/10 would recommend.

    • Okay value & sturdy but with two problems
These crossbars are pretty heavy duty but there are two problems: 1. They do not perfectly fit my 2021 HRV Sport side rails. The attachment mechanism has rubber grips that do not fit over the side rails very well. They must be tightened almost to the point where the hex bolts will strip to remain solidly attached. Most importantly, 2. they cause a noisy vibration. I padded and tightened down everything that might be loose and realized it was my roof, not the cross bars, that was vibrating. Above 30 mph, the high speed wind hitting the crossbars must create an oscillating air current that buffets and vibrates the roof. Once I installed a kayak carrier on the crossbars, the vibration and noise stopped probably because the air flow over the bars was changed. Used on my HRV hex screws strip out easy. Main thing is that they vibrate at certain speeds. Can get very loud at times. You get what you pay for. Hoping to put a basket on top of it. Hopefully bolting basket to it will stop the vibration. If not will need a better set of rails!
