She likes it so much, she is passing along her review: I am so glad my boyfriend splurged and bought this device compared to other ones! I've been using it for about two weeks now, and I have already noticed changes in my hair growth. There isn't as much hair since it's somehow coming in slower, and if there is some, it's definitely thinner. As someone who has done professional laser hair removal treatment before, I love how convenient and easy this is to use. Getting it professionally done is just so hard to do nowadays because of the cost and time it takes to go to the salon each week. Finding a comparable and more cost-effective alternative has been so amazing. I can't wait to see how my skin looks when I've hit the 12 week mark! I've been using this device for almost a year, and it has drastically reduced my body and facial hair! Consistent use will give the best results. I can now go weeks without shaving and worrying about having visible hair growth, and most of the maintenance I do is touch-up work on thin, barely visible hair (before I had very thick and dark hair). This device was absolutely life-changing for me in the best way! I have a decent pain tolerance, so the heat doesn't bother me as long as I'm not repeatedly hitting the same spot. There is a gentle setting for more sensitive areas, which also helps. Definitely recommend this for anyone trying to reduce unwanted body and facial hair! ... show more

Really wanted to love this... got great reviews, says it is the most effective home hair removal device. Have used it for 10 months and it does reduce hair growth.... though certainly not 99% removal.... maybe 70%. Worst part is that just like many many other reviews - this IPL stops working after 10months.... It just ticks and ticks and barely flashes.... poor design... or maybe the thought is you got the most of it? If there really was 99% hair removal I wouldn't care .... but it doesn't get you clean, and it stops working . Save your money on this one.... ... show more

This is a difficult product to review. The device does very well on the obvious criteria like design and ease of use. But prospective buyers will want to know if it actually works, and that's harder to answer. Bottom line - yes, but. I have used it mostly for my legs, and it does get rid of a lot of the hair, but there are several areas where it keeps coming back. The thing is, there's no way to tell how much of that is due to user error and how much is just the limitation of the technology itself. That's because it's very easy to miss spots as you go - there's no feedback to let you know where you have already treated (and that's mostly a good thing - the instructions say that some people get reddened skin or irritation, but I haven't had that at all). Also the head of the machine is a little bigger than the actual window that flashes, so you can't see to line it up exactly (not to mention legs are irregularly shaped). I have also used it on my mustache, with some success. Having used the device for 6 months (weekly for the first 12 weeks as recommended, and as-needed after that), I'm concluding that I will need to shave and re-treat about every 2 weeks - which is still way better than every other day, so I'm ahead. ... show more

I've tried many different laser hair removal devices. Tria has been the only other one that works this well. It has completely made my armpit hair go away for months at a time. I've always struggled with armpit hair, where I have to shave every other day - no more! I now just do touch ups. I've also used this along my bikini line, on my chin, and plan to use it on my ankles. It's not the best for small places (tough to get upper lip), but overall HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. It has some great setting (fast; sensitive/less painful areas). I will say that this brings some punch, and can be pretty painful, but it's worth it to me! ... show more

I have fair skin and dark hair, which is ideal for laser hair removal. I’ve been using this product for roughly 8 months on a weekly basis. Initially I saw a real reduction in hair growth on my armpits and bikini line, but the results ave been stagnant for the last several months. I don’t know if the bulb has weakened or if it’s just not strong enough to completely eliminate the hair? The machine itself is easy to use. It does get overheated however and hurts after several minutes of use, so I do have to take breaks to let it cool down. In the initial months I would have definitely recommended this product, but at this point I think I’m better off going to a professional, so I’m giving 3 stars. ... show more

I’ve recently discovered IPL after many years of struggling with my confidence due to my body hair. So far, I am extremely impressed with how much slower my hair is growing back.
