The first one didn’t have much of texture on the pegs and she chewed on that one when she first started teething, as she got a little older, I bought her this one with more texture. The bottom pieces comes apart, and there is a silicone “handle” piece on the inside. It’s perfect to get into babies hand and for them to grip to bring the teether to their mouth.
