Once my cat wasn't terrified of this toy, she LOVED it! However, there's a few kinks that need to be worked out... the cloth cover gets tangled up in the arm SO FREQUENTLY that instead of spending my money on an automated toy, I should have just put a toy mouse on a string and done it myself, lol! I have a one year old VERY active kitty and I spend at LEAST 2 hours a day playing with her. I got this so I can have a break every once in a while, but having to constantly untangle it was a real pain in the butt! Also, the flashing lights need to be toned down a bit... they should put a seizure warning on it- they're VERY intense! If they could also make it rechargeable, that would be AWESOME!     • Fun diversion, but make sure it is right for your cat

This is a really neat toy that helps me keep my cat playing when I am unable to. However, this toy might not be suited for all cats, and I'm afraid mine barely uses the toy as intended. My cat is very strong, and so instead of batting the feather and keeping engaged that way, he prefers to just pin it to the ground completely and chew on the feather while the motor keeps running. He even has just picked it up by the wire and dragged it places, not minding that the device is trying to rotate. I still can't hate on this product as it does give me another option to keep him entertained with, and he does like it. Just wish it was made to resist even the strongest of cats. ... show more

we had to use Teflon tape to make sure the screw on piece with the feathers on it stayed in placed because otherwise the cat can pull it off. we also watch the cat with it & kept adjusting the cloth because she will cheat & try to pull it up lol. but she does love it. I do suggest letting her play with it awhile then putting it up & putting it down once in awhile so she doesn't get to bored with it. besides the noise does get... noisy. ... show more

Great cat toy! My cat LOVES it! He stalks it from across the room and pounces; he lays next to it and waits for his prey to make it around LOL; it spins and moves erratically which is perfect for cats! Very easy to set up. The only problem is, with continued play, the wand starts to unscrew and becomes loosened and comes off. It doesn't break off...or it hasn't yet with my cat and he plays with it a lot and often catches the prey. You have to screw the wand back on often if you have a cat like mine. But it's worth it because he loves it so much! ... show more

This is the best flipping little toy. We bought it for the cat - a young cat and she loves it but who knew our chihuahua would absolutely take it over. The blue cover can come off if the cat grabs it with her claws and the wand that goes around can unscrew and come off but it screws right back on easily… happens frequently but not enough to be a con. My friend ordered this for her multi cat home and their cats like mine have learned the noise it makes when you turn it on and come running. We literally had to put it up for a while bc our Chi would sit and bark at it for us to turn on. THIS IS WORTH THE MONEY and I WOULD ABSOLUTELY GIFT IT ... show more

It is a kitty toy in theory, however, would be better if the tail that goes around stuck out all the time. 5 stars then. Also, sometimes Kitty stops it and you hear the click, click, clicking of the motor being stopped. Overall okay, but a few enhancing fixes here and there would make it 5 stars!

Decided to get this to entertain my young cat at home. Easy set up. Definitely be aware of your pets play habits. The fabric has teeth marks in it but hasn’t ripped despite her efforts. More than once she’s tried to walk off with the mouse after capturing it. I’m giving this a 4 out of 5 though because the arm that has the mouse keeps coming unscrewed from the motor part. Whether it’s because of the nature of it dragging against the carpet as it moves or because my cat is craftier than I give her credit for, I don’t know. It’s also a tad loud but I expect that for the price. Overall I’m satisfied with it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I decided on the Hot Pursuit because it got so many great ratings. I was so excited when it came, but mine was defective! So disappointed! This toy is a fantastic idea, as I never had a cat that didn’t like movement beneath a blanket. There is a base, which is made well and will not lift off the floor, even with rough play. There is an arm with a fur “tail” at one end and the other end screw turns into the base. Then there is a piece of thin fabric that goes over that and when you turn it on it looks like a small, furry critter moving underneath the fabric. Unfortunately, the thin wire sewn into the fabric to keep its shape was too wide for the piece of fabric which caused it to lift, almost as if it were warped, so the fabric never laid flat. It’s obvious that rushed production caused this defect. And when the arm started spinning the fabric just bunched up. I watched so many videos and theirs worked properly. However, mine did not. I included a photo of the warped fabric and a video of it running. My 14 week old kitten was entertained for a little bit. But she steals q-tips from the trash in the bathroom and will play with them for hours. My Maine Coon wasn’t entertained at all. It’s hit or miss with this one guys. Maybe you’ll get one that works…but maybe you won’t. Good luck! ... show more
