This was originally a gift to my pup from a good friend when I picked up my pup (she was 4 months old.) The first stuffy was my pups favorite bedtime buddy to have in her crate. She always brought him out with her in the morning. My pup loves the stuffy with the “heartbeat” for about 3-4 months and then she covered him with her crate mat. I took out the “heart” and she’s happily slept with her head resting on her buddy ever since. My pup has a double coat and is hot all the time so I never used the heating “pads”. I’m sure they are great too. My little puposaurus Rex usually chews up and pulls all stuffing out of any and all toys but, this toy lasted 2 years! Was the bedtime buddy missing his ears and tail for at least a year? Yes, but still a great snuggle buddy for another year. Sadly, this year the snuggle buddy suffered an unrecoverable loss of stuffing and fuzziness. 😞 Luckily I was able to order another buddy and the bedtime snuggles continue! I wish there was an option to just get the stuffy (I still have the original heart and warmers, didn’t need more) but that’s just a nit pick. This is a great product. The stuffing is the white fluffy kind, the pup is of solid construction and the “heartbeat” really does soothe puppies (I’ve used something similar with another pup - not as nice or fancy but, it works like a charm!) I recommend for new puppies spending nights alone without their siblings. All dogs that like to rest their heads on something soft when napping, and all puppies and dogs who are scared of loud noises. I put the snuggle buddy up and away from pupasaurus when she’s awake and playing to avoid catastrophic stuffing incidents. This is not a chew toy at all but it has stood up to some aggressive love and snuggling. If your pup has shown some restraint towards “special” toys, this is perfect for your pup! Not so much for dogs determined to lay waste to everything in site. My pup falls somewhere between. I recommend this for pups! ... show more

This plush puppy with heartbeat is a godsend! My puppy puts her head on it every night and it calms her and she falls asleep easily. Gone are the cries at night that we were experiencing when we brought her home. Our puppy loves it. The heartbeat is loud enough for her to hear but quiet enough not to disturb our sleep. It's quite calming for me too lol. I highly recommend this heartbeat puppy. It's worth it's cost. Our pup loved it and it did work to keep her calm at night but a month in the heart stopped working. Other than that it was great while it lasted. I reached out to the company and they are replacing the heart.

I don’t tend to write a ton of reviews but for this product- I absolutely must. I have a 17 year old blind poodle that has heightened anxiety due to his blindness. I thought I would try this as he likes to lay with his head against my chest. At first he seemed curious as he is elderly and hasn’t been around littermates etc for a LONG time. Moments later he cuddled, relaxed and fell right to sleep. I haven’t even used the heat pack yet but he is so at ease. Definitely worth the purchase. The shipping was extraordinarily quick. I ordered at 10am and the item was here the same day at noon. I definitely recommend this item. I suggest to purchase rechargeable batteries to swap out to save time and money. ... show more

The snuggle puppy is a helpful item to have around when bringing in a new puppy home. It did indeed help our puppy sleep better, and the beating heart sound seems to be a key element of that. The toy itself is fluffy, good size for a small puppy or even adults of small to medium breeds. The true issue I have with it the durability of the beating heart. We got 2 snuggle puppies 7 weeks ago when my new puppy arrived home. We keep one in his sleeping area and another one in this daytime playing area where he also takes naps. None of my snuggle puppies are on 24/7. The one in the bedroom is on for 8 hours every night. The one in the daytime area is on occasionally when needed, and we only use the 8-hour option, never 24/7. With that pattern of use, the heart that is used daily for 8 hours broke after 7 weeks. It beats like it were an old, weakened heart with arrhythmia. It skips many beats, has variable-duration large gaps of many seconds between beats, and the beats that actually happen no longer sound like a true, 2-phase heartbeat ("systolic beat + diastolic beat"), they sound like they are a single-phase heartbeat that is no longer convincing to pass as true heartbeat, and they developed a metallic "ting" tone as well. The other heart that is used occasionally is still rhythmic and skips beats only infrequently, but already shows slight change in tone and feel of the beat. I understand that a device that is frequently used has to get worn out at some point, but I do think that 7 weeks is too little and can't 4-star or 5-star this item because of that. As I write this review, I'm placing an order for 2 replacement hearts. While I think it's great that there are replacement hearts available for sale, their price is too steep for something that lasts a few weeks overall. ... show more
