So far, these make a great replacement for a "60 W equivalent" fluorescent bulb. They throw about the same amount of light, and you get all the bells and whistles that come with a Meross device. Operating their app for these bulbs is pretty easy, too. I purchased these to install in areas where my employees keep leaving the lights on. Then I set a routine that turns them off automatically after 15 minutes. I also put them in my home porch lighting, so as to eliminate the house with fully functioning timers. When I expect guests that do not know where they are going, I can set the lightbulb to green or purple or whatever color, and then they spot my driveway at a great distance. The adjustable color temperature for "white light" is fantastic! If you like a warmer color, it does it nicely. I prefer a higher color temperature that is less yellow, and they deliver. For regular illumination, however, I think the diverse colors available are rather impractical, albeit pretty to look at. Red, green, blue are all available in a sliding scale that pretty much spans the visible color range. I don't really use that feature much. ... show more

I bought another brand from Walmart, and one of those 2 is flakey, not remember the scheduled settings correctly. So far these have worked pretty much flawlessly. I can set them on a schedule to turn off and an and dim just with the app on my phone. They also respond well to our Echo Dot.

I like them alot but very hard to get colors to match. My hue bulbs, you set 1 and can drag to the color for next bulb. Not these! Not bitchin but hard.....needs to be easier in app I guess. Still good bulbs!

The bulbs I got all work but one is very flaky. It usually takes two or three commands to get them on. I thought it might have been wifi so I put in a tri-band mesh and the signal is awesome everywhere. The bulbs are still flaky.

So much fun. Any color and intensity you want. Alexa can control it. You have much better color control using the app on your phone but Alexa can control the dimmer really well. Naming the different bulbs is a pain. So I got 4 bulbs (installed 3) and each has a name. So I can't just say to turn off the lights, I have to specify which. It does feel awkward turning on the lights with Alexa commands with long names (Alexa turn on master bedroom light), but I'm going to try different names to see if there is a way to use less words.I found that you can also still use the switch to turn the bulb off and on. I was looking for colored led bulbs and ran across these color changing bulbs and gave them a try. I was skeptical about the brightness and range of colors that could be provided, but these Meross bulbs have surpassed my expectations. The versatility is phenomenal. Want to stick with white light, but can't decide if you want soft white, or daylight bulbs? No need to choose as you can change the "temperature" of these bulbs anywhere between 2700K – 6500K in addition to the color spectrum that you can choose. Want a dimmer light, but your fixture doesn't support dimming? Now you can dim at the bulb level so it doesn't matter! As for color, the color palate of these bulbs is enormous and the bulbs themselves look gorgeous with the various colors. There are so many uses for these bulbs - change colors for the holidays or for a party. Change colors to compliment your decor or mood. Sick of changing night light batteries in the kid’s room? Pop in one of these bulbs into a lamp in their room, let them pick the color in the app, adjust the dimness, and set up a timer in the app to go on at bedtime and shut off 1-2 hrs later, and you have a nice "night light" that has customized color and brightness and won't eat batteries. The Meross app is laid out well and easy to use. The interface makes it easy to change bulb colors, dim the lights, change the bulb temperature, setup scenes, and setup schedules. In my case, I already have SmartThings running in the house and I was happy to discover that the bulbs work really well with SmartThings. I've setup multiple scenes through SmartThings to change bulb colors. If you are running SmartThings, you can even have the Meross bulb color change based on the weather! Also, If you have an Amazon or Google smart assistant you can easily control the bulbs (This works with or without SmartThings). You can setup scenes with different colors and then use an Echo to turn the lights on with the selected scene (ie. one scene for white light, one for Christmas colors, etc.). My only warning with these bulbs is that once you get some you will want more and more. The minute we had two of them in a living room lamp, we started thinking of places in the house where we would want to put more. I already ordered another set for in the kid’s rooms and I’m sure I will be buying more soon for the holidays. I've attached pictures of the bulbs in some different color configurations (we were having a mermaid themed birthday party) as well as pictures of the Meross application color and temperature interfaces.
