I first bought this ink in 2022 and it has lasted me a long time (granted a don’t print a TON but still it lasted me way beyond what I expected!). It has been about 2 years and I am just now repurchasing. The color has been gone for the past 6 months or so, but I carried on with just the black ink. The blank wasn’t even out yet but I finally got sick of no color so I repurchased bc I was already beyond pleased with the value I had received of the last cartridges. I just tried putting the new ones in and my printer had an error and would not accept them. I reached out to the customer support chat and they were super helpful in giving me instructions to remove the “upgrade” that happened to my printer to make it block non-HP ink. Alexa was the support individual I talked to and she was great. She stayed with me until it worked. I am very happy with the price and quality of the ink as well as the customer service. I've used 3rd party ink before. I know manufactures discourage us from using them. And they update firmware to prevent us from using it. Smartink, did the easiest fix, don't recognize the black ink and recognize the colors, send replacement black ink. Did not work at first, we did a downgrade firmware, which I had off already. Did not work at first, offered a refund for the ink. I hesitated, because I believe it would work. A hour later bingo, HP printer, started working. Smart ink is truely smart. ... show more

The cartridges were wrapped for leakage protection! Each had their own plastic cap for further protection preventing any leakage. The print quality is exceptional. Pricing is in the ballpark. All and all, I’m very satisfied with this product.

I ordered replacement cartridges for my HP printer in July as it said my ink was low. Just ran out today. Replaced with Smart Ink cartridges and they worked kind of. Black and yellow printed great but could not get magenta or cyan to work. Printer recognized them as it showed ink levels as full. Followed all the info on the enclosed flyer and nothing worked. Called support and after talking about it they said they would send me another set and I would get them in 2 days!! Customer support is amazing. I worked on troubleshooting my HP printer, Smart Ink online chat was outstanding. They helped me troubleshoot even when it was likely not a Smart Ink issue. They had great technical knowledge and very helpful advice. Amazing to talk to a real, competent person on a Saturday morning these days. The ink cartridges themselves seem great, I've used two sets now and they seem to hold up great, the tanks are packed full with ink, I get long life out of them.     • Amazing Customer Service
I’ve ordered these cartridges 3+ times for my HP printer. The last set was working well until it started printing only in pink. I ordered another set. Still printing only in pink and black. I messaged their customer service live chat and within minutes they walked me through troubleshooting. None of it worked so without hesitation they sent me a new set. It arrived the NEXT DAY! Amazing. I installed the new cartridges and my printer wouldn’t print anything. I troubleshooted again and it was then only printing the black. I told the company and they immediately refunded me. I’ve come to the conclusion I think it’s just my printer, nothing to do with the cartridges. But I’m very pleased with the customer service!! ... show more

    • Works as well as the HP cartridges and much more cost effective
These work as well as the original HP cartridges in an HP Office Jet Pro 6978. Be sure that you don't allow the printer to update it's firmware. HP has written check in the FW to not allow the use of OEM inks. If you have already upgraded the FW, search the web for "HP firmware downgrade" for your morel printer. Restoring the factory FW once again allows OEM cartridges to function normally. BobM ... show more

I ordered a combo replacement of all three colors and a black ink cartridge. The color worked fine, but upon replacing the black cartridge, my printer wouldn’t accept it. I reached out to customer service and they gave me some options on how to try to fix it regarding future cartridges. They are sending me two new cartridges which should be compatible free of charge.
