  • Love this it’s a life changer for us!
I am thankful I was recommended this from a fellow Parkinson’s caregiver! Now I can go out and work in my garden again and my husband can let me know when he needs me. No more having to stop every five to ten minutes and come check on him. Thanks from Washington state.

  • Very loud
It’s a good product to have if you worry about something happening when you are asleep. It has two sounds and one is really loud. So if you are a deep sleeper I think it will wake you up! Just remember to turn it on before you go to bed.

This is perfect for elderly or disabled people that need help w various things because instead of risking falling, they can push the button and alert u they need help. Great for my husband who had a stroke and continually got up and came to me while risking falling. Now he just pushes the button and no longer gets up...Very pleased! ... show more

  • Excellent Purchase
This is one of my better purchases. They work great and are easy for my Mother to use. I have trouble hearing and it helps both of us to have the pager. I highly recommend this product.

  • Best thing ever!
This is a Godsend! I can get things done and my dad can just push the button to let me know he needs me! It’s great! There’s 2 sounds. 1 is ridiculous and loud and long but I guess at night it would definitely wake you up from a deep sleep. The other is a nice little “ding dong”. No volume controls but it’s definitely loud enough to hear. ... show more

  • Excellent product - much easier and FASTER than using a cell phone to contact caregivers
This is a VERY useful product. My wife just had major surgery, and has been mostly bed-ridden. I work from a home office, and need her to be able to reach me on short notice from the opposite corner of our 1,200 sqft apartment. My first thought when considering this product was "Why would I need something like this when my wife can just text me or call me on our cell phones?". Good question....then I realized that doing this would require several steps: find the phone - unlock the phone - navigate to my cell phone number - enter a text/call me... In an emergency, this would present WAY too many steps. Once I went through this expected chain of events, I placed an order for the Smart Caregiver product. Amazingly enough, I ordered the product on the day my wife was being discharged from the hospital, and was presented with the option of same day delivery. I figured I'd accept this option, just to see what the charge would be, and was amazed to find out same day delivery would be at no charge. Excellent! When we got her home, I placed one of the transmitters near her bed, and the other in her bathroom, and carried the remote pager with me. Since I was required to be with her whenever she needed to get out of the bed, these locations made sense. We didn't use the clips provided - not because they're not useful (screws and double-side tape are provided), but just because we haven't gotten around to selecting appropriate mounting locations. She was initially hesitant to embrace this new "gadget", as in "Do we REALLY need another electronic thing?!", but all it took was once punch of the call button to realize that this was a LOT easier, convenient, and most of all, FASTER than using the cell phone to reach me. The "Pager" receiver has two sounds it can make, and these are selected with a sliding button on the pager itself. The first is a standard "Ding - Dong" of an old doorbell. Pressing the call button results in two Ding-Dong sounds, and then stops. This sound was sufficiently loud to get my attention from every situation I had around the house, including talking on a conference call with a headset, watching TV in another room, etc.. The second sound is a warbling alarm - think siren. When this alarm is selected, it sounds and does not stop until you turn it off on the pager. I have used this sound when I knew I'd be deeply involved in an activity, like showering, using a vacuum cleaner, or otherwise engaged in a louder task. The alarm absolutely gets your attention. The range is quoted as 500 feet, but we haven't tested this since our apartment is nowhere near that large, but I can say I've had the pager clipped to my belt and gone outside to walk our dogs, and it's reached me 5 stories down and a couple hundred feet away. So, why not 5 stars? Well, the belt clip is useful, but I have found the pager can be bumped off my belt a little too easily. In addition, the pager is made of hard (read - possible too easy to crack) plastic, and the couple of times it's fallen from my belt, I've worried it would break. In fact, both time, the battery cover popped off. Other things that I'd suggest improving are the batteries for the call buttons: they are special types, not normally available. I suppose this battery was chosen for its small size, but given the size of the button, I would imagine a normal AAA could be used. We've also hung one of the pagers near the shower stall via the included lanyard. As she has recuperated, she's been able to take her own showers, but the risk of slipping is high, so being able to place a call button near the shower is called for. The button is not waterproof or even water resistant, so I've wrapped in in a plastic bag. This seems to have worked so far. Making an accessory to allow for use in a wet environment would be a good idea. Having said all this, we feel strongly that this is a very good product, well worth the money, and will certainly continue to use it long after my wife has fully recovered from her surgery. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • A MUST have item!
As the personal caregiver for my elderly mother, this device has been indispensable. The product alerts me to when my mother needs anything and I am not within earshot of her voice within the house. My mother wears the call button around her neck and I keep the receiver beside my bed. I like the product so much, I ordered a second set so that I would not ever be without it. The alarm has 2 settings. The first is a much softer sounding "doorbell" sound. The second is a VERY LOUD "police car siren" (the option I choose to use). There is no way to sleep through this one. I can not recommend this product highly enough. IMPORTANT: This is NOT a Medial Alert device. This is a personal alarm informing an in home caregiver that help is requested . ... show more
