  • Great quality
My bunny has been absolutely loving these. I already had a couple puzzle toys for her, which she now gets through in no time, so these new ones made her think a bit more. It was fun watching her try different techniques and get so excited when she finally figured it out. The drawers took her the longest since they don't slide out very smoothly and take a bit of force. I am really impressed with the quality of these - the wood is very thick so it will stand up to being chewed on for quote some time. They are the perfect size for my mini lop, and the entire thing is almost as long as she is. Every few days I will give her her pellets in a puzzle toy/feeder (instead of a dish) to keep ner stimulated. ... show more

  • Not meant for dogs no matter how much he liked them
The media could not be loaded. I got this set of puzzle treat toys for my miniature dachshund. In all fairness these were listed for small animals but not dogs specifically but I thought I’d take a chance. My dog took to it right away and as you can see in my video taken within minutes of giving it to him, he was able to figure it out quickly. He seemed to really love the one with the lids especially, and the drawers were a bit more difficult but he still enjoyed. As you can also see in my review photos my dog was able to break off the handle which could have been very dangerous. When pulled out there is an inch long sharp staple sticking out of the handle which could have been very bad had I not been supervising. Like I stated above to be fair I can’t judge this too harshly due to the listing mentioned small animals like rabbits, hamsters, Guinea pigs etc but not dogs or cats. My 14 pound dog wasn’t being rough or using as a chew toy but his teeth could just be too much for the quality of the puzzle. This set came securely packaged and my first impression was; it was thoughtfully made despite a few rough edges. I’ve seen rabbits use these puzzle toys made in my home state and they just love them. I just don’t think they’re meant for dogs no matter how much my dog enjoyed them. ... show more

  • Cat loves it
I was worried it would be too difficult for my cat. I put a treat in all 6 containers. She wanted me to open it for her, but I instead left her to figure it out for herself. In a few short minutes I returned and she solved every single compartment. Very happy that she has something to keep her mind sharp. The craftsmanship is very good. Fresh lumber, not plastic. If I had one suggestion, it would be to run the sides past a belt sander a little more. It isn’t unsanded, just under sanded. I just took the time to quickly sand the edges. The build quality is excellent. ... show more

  • Cute but appears to be homemade
The concept is good & is great for dogs that are very dexterous with their teeth but the round caps are a little tight and the drawers fit a little too close. A gentle sanding will probably fix this issue though. My small breed was very interested in getting to the treats that I put inside of all of the pockets/drawers but was unable to get them open without some assistance. I think it would be too small for large breed just because the handles are pretty small but, as I said, their a little too tight for smaller dogs to be able to leverage. The boxes are pretty lightweight and compact size makes them easy to put away when not in use. I don't think I would leave them out because the wood is not finished so splinters would be a concern for chewers. ... show more

  • Bunny loves it
I have two pet bunnies and while one did not find this toy that interesting, the other one loves it. He has found ways to open the compartments and continuously search for treats. He’s very food motivated, so this is an ideal toy to keep him occupied. Though the other bunny was not as entranced by it, we do find him nibbling on the edges to work on his teeth. The quality is nice and the wood is real and not treated or painted so I feel fine with my bunnies chewing on it. They are not able to easily destroy it, which is also a plus. Gives them some fun entertainment. ... show more

  • Drawers too snug
My rabbits were instantly interested in these puzzles. They fit treats I had from small pet select or oxbow. The lid puzzle works well. The drawers were a bit too snug fitting. I had trouble pulling them out with my humans hands when I had all three in but the rabbits were successful when I used just two. Probably needs more sanding of the drawer edges. ... show more

  • So fun!
What a cool and fun idea for small pets! We've tried it a few times but I'm not sure yet if my critters will figure it out. Either way it is a super fun challenge for us both. Nicely made product too! Smooth wood.

  • I love the concept and the brand but not the execution.
However, the puzzle toys that I received are very rough and unfinished looking. There are peeling splintering edges right out of the box; I would definitely have to sand these well before giving them to rabbits. My other concern is that rabbits mostly do chew on things especially that are wood. This is a toy that encourages them to use their mouths to open find and then eat the treat. While I agree this should be a toy used with supervision, I am not happy about the use of plywood. Plywood is going to be more prone to splintering and I am concerned about the use of glue in the plywood if they eat it. I was also surprised to see the use of metal staples or small nails in the construction. I have never seen rabbit products produced using nails instead of dowels or use manufactured wood instead of solid. I like the idea, I had a similar puzzle toy made of plastic for my buns and it worked well. The drawers are also hard to pull out, I think that because it isn't heavier wood a stronger bun could knock this all around trying to get the drawers out. ... show more
