Description

LOG CABIN BURNER WITH 10 PCS OF BALSAM FIR INCENSE.SIZE IS 2.5" x 3.5" x 3/8" diameter -- Uses balsam fir incense logs (comes with 10 pcs and we sell refills in our ebay store). Made in Maine since 1931, Paine's Balsam Fir Incense smells like the holidays—and for good reason. The company collects balsam branches from local woodsmen, then grinds, dries, and shapes those into sticks and cones that'll fill your home with the scent of evergreens, whether you have a real Christmas tree or not. And the log cabin burner couldn't be cuter. Light a stick of incense, put it inside the miniature house, and smoke will rise from the chimney. Paine's incense is made in Auburn, Maine. First, balsam branches are brought to us by local woodsmen, where they are then ground and dried. It is next pressed into incense molds and finally dried… That’s it! No chemicals are added to our incense, and is 100% natural and sustainable! We also use the balsam in our pillows. We make souvenir pillows that are stuffed with the balsam fir. They are great as gifts, or an aromatic delight in a drawer, closet, or car.

  • Nostalgia at its finest
I grew up in the Northeast and had one of these as a kid. Now that I’m 38 and living in the Southwest I thought I’d get it again for nostalgia sake. The cabin is smaller than I expected but I didn’t realize there were sizes to choose from. It smells the same as I remember and is just so cute and cozy. Can’t wait to light it during Christmas time. It’s a little tricky to light and takes some patience. But it’s worth it. ... show more

  • Old fashioned incense burner
I received my balsam fir incense log cabin burner, and it’s just perfect for Christmas. It reminds me of my childhood. The incense burn good, and it’s super cute

  • This thing is great! But the supplied logs smell awful, and I had to modify it a little for safety and usability.
Technically, "I love it!", but it needed a modification. Start with the good: This thing is absolutely freaking adorable. It's just the right size for incense cones and blocks, and when in action it is just the cutest and coolest little thing ever. No wonder these things used to be so popular. And it's cheap! The bad: Those balsam fir logs smell nasty. They smell like weed, is what they smell like. I barely had the first one lit before I had to put it out. They're going in the trash. Fresh, they smell like luscious balsam fir trees. A picture of christmas. All that beauty is destroyed once they're lit. I recommend getting an oil/wax warmer and warming balsam fir oil if you want that smell instead. That's what I'm doing, and it smells wonderful in here. But I also love burning indian temple incense Song of India India Temple Incense - Cones - 5 Boxes(25/bx) , Rosicrucian temple incense India Moss Rose Incense , or nag champa cones Shrinivas Sugandhalaya Satya Sai Baba Nag Champa Incense Dhoop Cones, 144 Cones , all of which have a wonderful incense-y aroma when burnt that lingers and makes your home smell sanctified. In order to burn blocks and cones, however, I had to pull off one of the walls (it's just hot glued at the base, and pry off the balsam fir log holder. The holder is about a half inch high and is too high to safely burn anything other than the supplied logs inside it. That they use a wooden holder also seems a little bit reckless, but I guess they must not have had any problems with it up until this point. In place of the wooden log holder, I glued a small fireproof tile, which also lowered the height of the burning incense so that it wasn't so close to the roof. And now it's perfect! ... show more

  • I love the scent of Balsam Fir
I burned some balsam fir sticks in the campfire when I was out camping way up north on the lake. The scent of a woodsy dry incense came over to me on a breeze from the smoke. It was wonderful. I bought the Paine's Incense cabin here to have that scent whenever I want. I admit, when I was a kid and smelling these Paine's sticks back then, they did not appeal to me and just smellt like rough burning wood. But since haveing maybe thousands of campfires since then, and enjoying various burning wood scents like oak and pine and cedar, I appreciate the wood fire smells . i like the little log cabin, its neat how the smoke drafts into the door and up and out the chimney. The sticks don't burn for that long, but long enough for an incense scent to fill the room for a while. One key with this incense is to really get it lit. You dont just light it and then think its good, you have to really get a nice coal on top, or it might burn for a whle and then go out, but if you light it good then again, it will burn fully, and if you start it off with a good tip burning then it will go all the way from there too. Now I just have to get some refills, because I have already burned through half of these 10 sticks in the few days I have had this. ... show more

  • Cute
Although this little cabin is cute the incense cones don't stay lit. They burn out and do nothing. Very disappointed.

  • Clean old school scent
I have bought several.of these over the last 20 years from this same company. Love it. I only buy the unscented versions of incense because the scented smells artificial .

  • Wow.. very surprised by the poor quality.
If I ordered this from, say, TEMU I would understand.. but trying to support small business I ordered from them. The size is smaller than stated by 1/2" which makes a difference when it's this tiny to start with. Also the tape to keep the roof on for transport, strips color off in 2 pale stripes. There is no tape remaining in the photo. Money is tight, don't sell this for so much. .. or make it better quality! ... show more

  • This House is not that big.
I was hoping for a roof over my head. Not going to happen. Burned up the first time I lit it with a torch. But if you are looking for a tiny house, Get rid of all your Stuff.
