I tried making a slushy out of Dr. Pepper and it did not become a slushy like what others say or have shown on videos. I placed the cup in the freezer for overnight. When I tried the next day, it was more like a melted down slushy, had some chucks of slush forming, but did not become a slushy. Thankfully I bought two, it turned into a nice slushy when putting it into one of them and them as it turned to a “melty slush” place in the other frozen cup and it became the texture like a slushy should. The inside of the cup where the “ice pack” is, makes it harder to eat or scoop out as it has crevices that make it harder to do. So a whole can of Dr Pepper (regular size) you will have to do it twice (in my experience, the second time in the same cup just didn’t do anything, just made the drink cold, but not slushy) or can only make about half a can worth because of the how much space the “ice pack” takes up inside the cup. I love how it all can come apart for me to be able to clean all aspect of the cup, that’s a plus to prevent from any kind of moldy things from building up into the cup or the crevices. I would prefer it to have some kind of barrier on the outside to help with frozen fingers while making the slushy and eating from it. I will say, that it does form chunks of ice from my liquid very fast (around 1 to 1 1/2 mins), which is awesome! I did buy the Zoku as well, but have not had a chance to compare the two yet. Once I try it, I will update this review to show which made a slushy better. The reason why I’m not too sure of this product is because I’m suppose to be able to use ONE cup, and be able to make a slushy out of ONE cup, not TWO. I will try again and see if that changes my mind about the product and review. ... show more

This little thing does the job. Only downside (and this is me nitpicking) is that it takes a very long time to freeze if you want it to actually be like a slushy. Other than that, it's easy to clean and use and its wonderful for how hot the summers are getting.

My 10yr old son saved up his chore money and used it to buy this slushy cup. He was really excited about it because he had seen it on the internet somewhere and really wanted to try it. It's a decent slushy cup and it works really good for the first few times and then after that it kind of loses its ability to make slushies. I think it should be a little bit cheaper due to that. Works ok for making slushy, but it is very hard to assemble, especially for kids. So only way os to put it to freezer fully assembled to kids then to use without hassle!

My daughter is happy with this cup. It does indeed freeze any liquid she’s tried this far. It does have quite a few pieces so it’s a bit of a pain to clean, but we’ve had no issues with reassembling it once dry.

I couldn't figure it out at first. But you freeze it until it cant freeze anymore... it will come out hard hard. It takes about 5 to 6 hours from what I'm reading. I just left it overnight. When you take it out, it will be hard, you have to fill it with your drink liquid of choice and squeeze and squeeze and keep going until you get the slushy look you want. The padding takes up much of the room inside the cup... so when you fill, it fills up quick.. I wish there was more room to put your liquid. ... show more
