  • Pretty Good Little Collar….
Color: Green Black
This was a replacement for an Ecollar I received along with 2 weeks of intensive training for my min pin / frenchie puppy. (My Mom and Brother lost the remote during a dog sitting weekend) She’s only 10 months but she was driving me crazy by chewing up EVERYTHING within reach as soon as my back was turned and was also jumping all over me, my 8yo chihuahua and any/all guests I had over. Pro’s- 1- I love that it comes with 2 receivers. I keep in on the charger and one on my Bella. That way I rotate the dead receiver and always have a charged one. The remote also has the capacity to program another receiver but you’d have to buy it separately. 2- It has 2 collars, black and black and green. They are interchangeable so I can buy my own collar to put the receiver on if I so want to do. 3- The remote is small and clips easily to my belt. 4- The vibrate has a low mode (1-50) and a high mode (51-99) 5- The vibrate is strong enough in the low mode (25-35) to get my puppies attention. 6- I haven’t used the shock yet but it can go up to 99 strength for the most stubborn dogs. Con’s- 1- The collars aren’t super nice. They are thick but I feel like after a couple weeks they have stretched a bit cause it seems to fall to the front of her neck a lot lately and I have to switch it back to the back of her neck. 2- I wish the buttons were different sizes or colors so they were easier to differentiate quickly. 3- I put the rubber cones on over the shock studs and I couldn’t really feel the shock until I got up to a 30-35. 4- I wish the beep had an adjustable tone or volume. 5- I do wish the receiver battery was a little better. I took Bella on a walk today and it stopped working almost as soon as we walked out of the dog park gate. I’ll add more as time goes on if I need to. *** I will say this - I’m not sure if it was the company or Amazon but I hit the ‘get support’ link on my Oder page or whatever because I misplaced my remote and was wondering if I could buy just the remote and pair it to my receivers. Well they were AMAZING!! Instead of selling me a remote or saying I had to buy a new set completely they said they would send me a brand new set at no charge. They didn’t even ask me to send the ones I had back. I couldn’t believe how awesome they were. No questions, no problems, No Nothing!!! THANK YOU!! ... show more

  • Great for Training and Great for Teaching What Behaviors are Not Desired
Color: Green
This is the second collar we have purchased. The collar worked so well on training a 14 month year old excitable 60 pound Mountain Cur that we bought a second one to train a 12 week old Bluetick Coonhound puppy (over 14 pounds). The collar comes with a remote that offers different channels, and without knowing anything about technology, I have been able to easily learn how to use the controller and even set the collars to different channels so that the dogs are not getting beeped during the other dog's training. In regard to the Moutain Cur, the beeping is used to remind him not to chase the his cat sibblings and a reminder not to bark nonstop without cause. There is also a shock feature and a vibration feature which each allow you to adjust the voltage and the level of vibration respectively. The shock feature was used on a medium level one time for the Mountain Cur when he was caught digging right near the fence. He has not dug since and we no longer worry that he will leave the backyard when he is outside. When originally purchased, I had made it clear that the shock feature would never be used but to keep the Mountain Cur safe, it was used and all is well. It is nice that there is a lock feature for the shock option because I do not want a pet sitter to accidently shock the dogs. The Bluetick Coonhound is being trained with the beeper and when she chases her cat sibbling (there is only one now), I use the vibration feature, set at a low level. She will then turn her attention away from the cat or even smaller older dog keeping them safe from unwanted chases and pounces. As for training the Mountain Cur, the best thing has been that when he is beeped, he knows to come inside. It works better than the "come" command. The collar for the Bluetick Coonhound (which did have to be adjusted to the smallest size) did start flashing a bit but with one call to Slopehill, the issue was readily resolved demonstrating great customer service. The collar and remote even charge at the same time making it easy to charge them on occasion overnight. As for the dogs wearing the collars, they do not seem to mind wearing the collars, they only wear them for bits of the day, during training, or during high activity times when they might need reminders. The collars have certainly made having a multipet household more enjoyable. ... show more

  • Worked well until the remote died. Possible wiring/connection issues
Color: Green
The remote died after 7 months so the collar is no longer usable without the remote. At about 6 months it started glitching between full and dead battery notifications despite being fully charged then the on/off switch had glitch issues as well. Some times the unit turned on fine, other times it took 5 minutes to register that it should be on. Sometimes pressing the front and back together or putting the switch in the halfway position turned it on. Now it doesn't turn on at all. Think there might be an internal connection issue or bad wiring job. The collar did it's job up til the remote died. Update: Seller reached out and offered a replacement. Customer service was very professional with great communication. The replacement works as intended. Thank you! ... show more
