I work on gutters for a living currently. Needed these crimpers to crimp downspout. They seem to be made well and function well. The locking mechanism is very cheap though and I do not like that part of them. Other than that though they perform well and get the job done.

I was hired to re-route some down spouts. had to cut, splice and bend quite a few pieces. this tool could have been a little tighter, but the throat was Plenty deep enough to do what was needed of them.

This tool works well for me. I used it to crimp cut pieces of downspout as I inserted one piece into another. I also used it on several elbows to assist in inserting them into the downspout. I recommend moderate squeezing several areas of the material instead of squeezing too much in one spot which increases the chance of cutting the material. ... show more
