My Dollar Tree store had a variety of incense sticks and no holders! I have essential oil diffusers but I'm trying to cut back on electrical devices so thought I would try the sticks. This was an attractive holder that didn't take up much space on my chair side table. Came next day with Prime. I found that I needed to trim the stems of the incense to fit into the right hole to hold the stick upright, no biggie. (These cheap incense sticks do not have uniform stem sizes) The ash generally falls into the dish but sometimes air circulation will cause it to fall outside. I simply use an old toothbrush to sweep the ash back into the dish and then sweep it all into the trash. I love the way the magnets hold the 2 pieces together, very easy cleaning. No need to wash. BTW, these incense sticks are nicely mild, not overwhelming. I have bought sticks and cones in the past that were way too strong for my taste. Also I have a dog and don't want anything too strong for her either. Anyway, I recommend this holder, great value for the price. ... show more

Not bad, but not sturdy. I worry that the incense is going to fall over. The hole that holds the incense is a little large so I've had to cut the incense down to the thicker part so it will stay in the hole. I would recommend just getting one of the traditional incense holders. This IS very pretty so if none of the stuff above bothers you then go ahead and get it. I like, but disappointed in the incense recommendation that does not fit and tilts to side so tray doesn’t catch ashes. But holders are nice I just need to find incense that fits the different size holes

It's very pretty in theory, but it does not actually catch ash, and it is VERY hard to clean. The different layers of petals do not lock into place, so its also very loose and knocky. I also have to cut all of my incense sticks to try and fit them as straight as possible in order to even put sticks in there. The biggest downside is that it catches next to none of the ash, so it's probably best as a paperweight. ... show more
