This product worked much better than the previous slide that I purchased, however, the sprinkler only gets half of the slide wet. It works best when lots of dish soap is added to the slide. The boogie boards did not work at all. We'll probably use them as floats in our pool.

We purchased this last year for the kids while we were on vacation at our beach house in Nantucket. With three kids [4,6,8] slipping and sliding it wasn't long before the sprinkler part teared away from the rubber. Thankfully I had some duct tape which I was able to patch. The quality is crap and it will probably break in the first day, but the kids LOVE IT. Alas, Ill be buying another one for this year and bringing my duct tape. For 30 bucks, it's not bad for a week's worth of fun. My only regret is having to throw it away at the end which is a huge environmental waste.     • Doesn't Slip or Slide
First, the positives: it has three lanes and three separate boogie boards. The slide is an appropriate length. That's where the positives end. The slide features sprinkler holes along the length of the slide, but only half of them spout water. This means that the slide doesn't get wet enough to be slippery. We rigged up a separate sprinkler system to go over the slip n' slide to see if this helped. Nope. The slide was not slippery, even when wet. It was super thick. In the picture, the kids are using it on a flat lawn. We used it on a small hill and even under very wet conditions, there was no slip or slide. Maybe if the child ran at a full sprint (not a jog or short run since we tried this) and really jumped onto the slide it could work, but that would be dangerous because the three boogie boards that came with the slide would not stay sealed. So our small child (35 1bs) lightly pressed against the board to use it and it opened and leaked air quickly on the slow descent down the hill. What a let down. We tried having the boogie board face the other direction- this also did not work. We tried pushing the seal into the boogie board-didn't work. So basically, nothing worked as advertised. Our son wanted this for his birthday - it was his only request. It stinks to buy your child a present that is a huge disappointment. We have the basic, smaller slip and slide and have a lot of fun with it. This wider slip n slide, however, doesn't work as well. The water would not spray from the holes all the way around the slip n slide. On the side where the hose is connected, it works ok, but not all the way around. Also, I have no idea why they made it this wide if the water cannot reach the center strip of color. The water spray only made the mat wet on the two outer colors making it impossible to slide down. We tried two different hoses. We tried setting it up downhill and then setting it up on flat land. Nothing made a difference. My son was pretty bummed. Also, the material is thinner than their original slip n slide so I'm not sure how durable it will be. The slide bogies are pointless - they're small and will pop after a few uses - we didn't even bother with these. ... show more

We live in FL so we have thick St Augustine grass. At first when we laid it out I didn't think it would work. The stakes it came with weren't holding it well enough so we used some stronger ones we had and that did the trick! If the sprinklers on the side are not spraying the side you can just roll the edges a bit to fix that. My husband tried the slide as well and it worked great! To make it extra slippery we used a spray bottle with half water, half conditioner. Overall great price and big hit for my kiddos! ... show more
