This is my personal experience/opinion, but I truly believe this product helped alleviate my hunger and helped me heal faster. It also came in handy when I had to take my antibiotics. More specifically, when I took my antibiotics on a empty stomach, I was having this bizarre stomach pain; but with this slim fast drink, I didn't feel anything. The taste of this drink is what I expected. Since it has a lot of vitamins and protein, I expected the flavor to be slightly unpleasant and the texture to be a little thick; and I was right. It also has a strong artificial vanilla flavor with artificial sweetener. Overall, the flavor isn't the greatest but it's not bad to the point where I couldn't drink it. In fact, after my 2nd slim fast, I got use to the flavor and started to enjoy it. I'm more grateful that I actually felt satisfied both physically and mentally. I also noticed that the majority of negative reviews are due to expired products. Luckily for me, I didn't have that issue. To end this, if you have any type of oral surgery coming up that will require you to be on a liquid diet, try this first and see if you like it BEFORE YOUR SURGERY. This one I like in particular because I’m on a diet and it’s helping me actually lose some weight along with eating right and exercising and it also tastes great. That said, I'm super bummed out Slim Fast changed the caramel flavor. The Caramel Latte was my favorite - a thick, rich caramel flavor. The Caramel Macchiato is much thinner, much more coffee tasting, much more bitter. Coffee definitely outweighs the caramel, where it was the opposite with the Caramel Latte. I'm so disappointed in it, that I opt for the chocolate, which is rare - I typically prefer caramel over chocolate. I really don't care for strong, cold coffee, as it tastes more bitter to me than hot coffee. I was hoping it was temporary because I was ordering several 12 packs in my subscribe and save monthly delivery. I don't taste the overwhelming cold coffee taste in the chocolate flavor, and I prefer its thicker consistency. Maybe it tricks my brain, but it feels more filling than the new caramel drink, the same way it did with the old, thicker caramel latte. That all said, I buy these because I love the ingredients - 20g of protein, decent amount of caffeine, 5g of fiber (more filling), some fat and low carb. I used to be a major buyer/fan of Bang Keto Coffee, but they discontinued it in their bankruptcy to streamline and remain in business. Slim Fast has been the closest alternative that I found with the added benefit of vitamins and fiber (just much less caffeine - darn). I have multiple a day and still bought these drinks when I was buying Bang Keto Coffee. I just buy more of these now. Fingers crossed, Slim Fast brings the original Caramel Latte back as an addition to their new caramel flavor, so we caramel lovers can have our preferred option. ... show more

I got these for breakfast as I drive into work. They worked great but it did take me a little to get used to the flavor. At first, they are a little sweet but I actually ended up really liking them. It was filling and kept me satisfied until lunch. I didn't lose any weight but that wasn't why I bought them. It feels a little over priced which is why I am reluctant to buy them again. I have been buying Slim Fast shakes in the plastic bottles for well over a year now. Unfortunately, I have been having a hard time finding them in stores lately, so I started ordering them online from various stores. They, too, have been out of stock online, so I found these on Amazon, but in a new "eco-friendly" container. Since Amazon delivery is faster, and my packages don't come beat up like they do from the other shipping services, I figured I would give the new containers a shot, even going so far as to using the Subscribe and Save option. But what a difference a container makes! First of all, the flavor is not the same. I like the Vanilla, as well as the Strawberries & Cream. Neither of them taste like the shakes in the plastic containers. Second, while they both say 11 ounces, the new containers seem to have less in them. Three swallows and they are gone. Not only that, they do not keep me from being hungry as long as the shakes in the plastic. I still feel hungry after drinking one. That never happened with the ones in the plastic. But the worst thing of all about these new containers is the pieces of paper floating in the shake itself. Nothing like taking a big gulp and getting a mouth full of chunks. And they are not chunks of the shake. After spitting them out and examining them, they are definitely chunks of what appears to be soggy paper. So I canceled my Subscribe and Save subscription, and I will go back to the plastic bottles, if I can find them. I understand these new containers are probably better for the environment, but like the paper straws that have replaced plastic ones in restaurants, they just plain suck. ... show more
