*MY FIRST PREBUILT PC!* Well well well.. to be honest, I was a bit skeptical about my product when I read the reviews of hundreds of others that had bad experiences with Skytech. This skepticism was compounded as I read the reviews AFTER I purchased the product (I purchased the product because my buddy who builds PCs said this was a great deal). I admittedly got very anxious about the product, as well as its delivery to me (I chose 2nd day air shipping). First, what was unfortunate was that my shipping was delayed. As mentioned before, I paid for 2nd day shipping and it did not arrive in two days. I thought about the reviews I read where people had issues with shipping and I thought to myself... damn. Did I just get scammed out of shipping? So I sent an email to customer support and I was say almost instantaneously I received a reply AND refund for my shipping NO QUESTIONS ASKED! Fantastic!!! I was reading how customer support doesn’t get back to you, isn’t helpful, etc. So I was very surprised and happy that they got back to me so quickly. That was a huge relief. But wait, there’s more. I saw a discrepancy between the UPS shipping and Amazon shipping. Amazon said my order had shipped, yet UPS said it hadn’t received anything yet, only that a label was created. So that confused me... so I contacted customer support AGAIN, and immediately they got back to me and told me that everything on their end was completed and to wait for UPS to scan the item over the weekend (I ordered the PC thru Amazon on Wednesday). So I said ok... that’s ok. Saturday came, I got an updated saying the item was scanned they UPS, Sunday I got another update saying that my item will be delivered on Monday! Yay!!! So I received the item yesterday, and immediately I saw that the box was punctured a bit. That was a bit disheartening, but I was still optimistic. I opened the box, found a tinier box that had cords in, and began pulling out the item. The PC itself had a huge bag over it, which was pretty cool. So I pulled it out, took off the bag... and boy I was stoked. Everything looked clean physically, and I began to open the PC tempered glass door (which is very high quality IMO), and took out the safety foam from having the hardware move around o n the ride here (which I very much appreciated). Unlike other reviewers on here, I received my correct GPU, SSD, all the goods. I’m so happy about that! It’s been running great, (today is T+1 since having the PC) and I’m very optimistic about the future of the PC. I plan on purchasing a better monitor today and I will see how it all runs. But so far I am very happy and grateful everything came as advertised. Hope this helps! ... show more

    • Great Machine, But Getting To Be Very Pricey
My previous pc gave up the ghost, so I needed a new machine fast. After doing a lot of research I finally settled on Skytech. But, Before I could pull the trigger they sold out, went on back order and the price went up over $200 (this may be due in part to DRAM memory shortage & other tariffs) . I Still needed a new machine and I didn't want to start my research all over again from scratch, so I went ahead and placed my order and tried to wait patiently. Due to shortages the new stock would essentially be BTO, and I was originally told that the build and shipping time would be 6 weeks. To my pleasant surprise it only took 3 weeks and it arrived well packed (Skytech's box inside an Amazon box). Despite what past reviewers have said about their various start-up issues, I didn't experience anything unusual. Right out of the box, set up was a breeze and within minutes I was up and running. My only caveats at the moment are that I wish the pc could have been ordered with Windows Pro instead of Windows Home, and the other item is that the filter screen on the top of the case just appears to sit there and is not attached or secured in any way. I don't know if it's suppose to be that way on purpose so the filter can be changed when needed, or not. Other than that, I'm very satisfied, so far. If the situation changes, I'll post an update and let you know. P.S.: Pricing on Skytech's website might be a bit lower than what's listed on Amazon's website, but they don't offer any extended warranty coverage. And, when you're spending a lot of money for a high tech piece of equipment, you expect it to last for a long time (at least 5 yrs.). So, the 1 yr. manufacture's warranty just is not enough, therefore I would highly recommend that you get the extended coverage. It's well worth it. ... show more

    • Computer great. Trying out buying it used is a literal gamble.
The computer is great. Will easily run almost all games except the most recent and demanding games like Starfield. Yeah, technically this computer can run games like Starfield but it supposedly only passes the minimum requirement and not the recommended requirement unless one gets a better CPU. This computer can supposedly run games like Baldur's Gate 3 or Armored Core VI. just fine. And considering Microsoft is eager to shove Windows 12 down our throats within a year or so despite Windows 11 nowhere near being fully streamlined a computer like this is good to have if you are planning to upgrade. The buying process itself was ...less than pleasant. Though at the time there was a slight sale I wanted to give buying a 'used' copy a try. I got unlucky. The WiFi didn't work (the computer could not find it) and the fan was at max speed and so it was noisy. And used computers take much longer to return and be refunded compared to buying it new. Again, if you get lucky you can get a great deal with a used product but if you don't it's a real hassle. ... show more

I know almost nothing about computers, but my husband wanted me to get this one because it's reasonably priced compared to other computers with similar specs, and it has the ability to upgrade/replace the graphics card when we need to (that's the whole reason we needed a new computer, and I sure as heck wasn't going to build one). I'm docking one star because there were supposed to be setup instructions in the box, but there weren't. Luckily, we got onto SkyTech's website on my phone and looked them up. Some very minor assembly was required. After that, startup was very smooth and Windows 11 was already installed and ready to go. For someone who knows very little about PCs, it can't get much easier than that. I also love the lights - they make it so fun! You can change the colors, and we love the rainbow option! ... show more
